Note on the filter directions!
Some external water filters do not have an arrow to guide the direction of the filter.
These filters should have water drop symbol instead. The tip of the drop is the waterline direction to the refrigerator, the rounding of the drop towards the water tap source.

@@jodiewhittaker5158 Did you flush it with at least 2 liters? Sometimes you need to ensure the "carbon" is flushed. Not harmful, you can drink it.

We just got our LG fridge today but we don't have the water inlet valve part, which I find very strange when it has the ice cubes/water function. We have the wireless LAN Module (LCW-010).
Are you sure you have a plumbing model or a water tank inside the fridge part?

No, unfortunately not. The main electronics are not designed to treat is as plumbed model, since your unit has a tank, pump and additional valves.

yes, it should have been supplied. If not, please contact your local LG support center.
What about water pressure? Do you need a valve to control pressure to the fridge?

This should be more obvious in you installation guide... especially after I spent an hour peeling away protective tape and magnetic plastic from everywhere... (still have to do the freezer drawers yet! 🤯) So... seriously a simple arrow on a piece of tape or plastic wrap would be nice.
Apologies. Sometimes videos assist the user better than a written manual, but either way the instructions should always be clear. The latest filter have a water drop instead of an arrow, with the point directing to the water tap side and the rounding of the drop towards the refrigerator.

you need the water pipe that was supplied with the box, together with the water tap connector. When all is connected you can simply start using it. It is advised to flush the system by tapping and throwing away a few liters of water before using it.

I’m guessing that the water line is 1/4”. What size is the nut that slides over the tube and threads on to the fridge?

Can I do same like this for copper water line? Will that freezer inlet will corrode copper line?
you cannot attach a copper pipe to that inlet, and it is not a freezer inlet, it is a water valve.
Oh. I connected copper line with brass compression to connect to that inlet. am I wrong for that?
@@dechentseten2163 That is not correct. It should be our plastic tubes. The connection can corrode over time causing a leakage or bad tasting water.
Is the waterline feature available for the instaview model?
We have several Instaview models, some with fixed waterconnection, some without. Please contact your local LG Call Centre to see what is available in your country.
The instructions I downloaded from LG state the copper tubing or PEX tubing should be 1/4 inch OD.
All the PEX tubing for potable water that I found are sized by nominal sizes. So if If you add 1/8 inch to a nominal size to get 1/4 inch OD you need a 1/8 inch nominal size tube. These don't exist.
What I found was Polyethylene (as opposed to cross-linked polyethylene - PEX) tubing at Home Depot with an OD of 1/4 inch. The color is a translucent white that does not match the video. The store's website states that "Potable Water" is an application of this tubing.
What are the precise specs of the tubing used in the video?
Have people used Polyethylene?

I know it's been a few years - but did you ever find a tubing that works here? I have spent a crazy amount of time and bought tons of different kits that don't work

It should be cold as there is a (small) internal water tank inside.

Depends on the product, anything from 4m to 6m.
Hi, I have seen on the instructions that a external water filter needs to be fitted between the water mains and the fridge. Is this correct? I have not been supplied with the external water filter
That is correct. In some markets the external filter may not be supplied with the standard accessories.

Fairly easy to connect up, just did mine now - water at mains is on, feeding line to fridge, but no water coming out? Anything else I can check? Blocks somewhere?

@@KhangNghi according to the manual it may be due to something in the pipe that's blocking it, could even be a build up of calcium. try blowing through the pipe at the rear? use a toothpick to ensure the inlet and outlet doesn't have anything stuck in it.
@@KhangNghi you either need to replace the little pump down there, or you need to check the wiring connecting to it.
the connection in my fridge is pushed inside a cardboard plate, i cant make the connection becus of this, is this normal? do i have to remove cardboard plate in order to connect?
Is this the delivery man’s job? I had it delivered and the water supply wasn’t working. I assumed it would take maybe a day to start working. I called the delivery man and he bluntly said he didn’t do it. Am I supposed to do it? Do I have to move the fridge?

You could, but you do need a certain water pressure, as indicated in the manuals. In case the owners manual does not contain this info, you may want to consult your local LG Helpdesk.
So do I then turn the tap on outside once it’s screwed in? Just leave the tap on?
indeed, the tap should always be open when connected.
I accidentally cross-threaded the input. Can I replace just that part or do I have to replace the entire valve assembly?
Depends if the valve assembly threading is damaged. If so and you do not wish to completely exchange the valve assembly, you may be covered by taping the water hose on the back instead of locking it with the nut, of course at own risk. Otherwise replacing the valve is the only option.

This model has to be connected to the line, other wise it does not work. Other models have an internal tank that can be filled indeed.

I just move into my first home. I purchased a LG Refrigerator and in all the videos I been watching only show how to connect the water line to the refrigerator, How do you connect the water line to the to the ting in the floor???
Not sure what your question is, there is 1 part that goes into the refrigerator and the other part has a connector that goes onto the water tap.

The direction does not matter. Officially it's stated that the point of the water drop on the filter should point in the direction of the refrigerator, but the filter structure is universal (direction-wise).
Does it have to be connected to a cold water supply to come out cold?
If you connect it to hot water, you will for sure make the cooling process go off. the lines go through the freezer part (isolated) but still imagine 60 degrees Celsius in the Freezer, that is continuous Defrost

Not sure which connector you mean, but I think you mean the lock nut. We do not communicate part number in our comments, because they may be different depending on the model you have. Please check with tour local LG support center.
My inlet is taking water, as I can see it in the nipple once I remove the hose, but when I dispense water I am getting nothing. Does it take serval minutes to syphon thru? When I remove water line and try to dispense water it pushes the water already in the system out the nipple
Do you have a model with or without water tank? A model with tank has a pump and there may be some air trapped in the waterline, causing the water flow to get blocked. In that case, check out: ruclips.net/video/v717fdagVbQ/видео.html. If you have a plumbing model, it might be a valve that is stuck, or a clogged filter, or. Other than that it's an open connection and if you get water from the tap there is not much else to advise then to get a technician visit.
@@LGSAE thank you for your response. I have the LLMXS3006S which is a supplied water line. I ordered a new inlet valve. Is there another valve within the system? Should I feel suction from the disconnected hoses while trying to dispense? I can see water in my inlet valve after disconnecting and while discharging it pushes water back out the inlet valve (while disconnected)
The refrigerator I used did the same thing, but when I open the tap, it leaks from the filter, what can I do?
Then you may not have inserted the tube in fully and perhaps the restrictor is not present?

Typically 5 meters, but you may check with your local LG support channels if there are longer ones available (if needed of course).

The water hose should normally be supplied in case you have an external water connection appliance. If not, I would advise you to first consult your local LG support channel.

Dear, there can be numerous causes for this: a closed water tap, a kinked tube, .. do you hear a sound when pressing the lever? I suggest you contact your local
LG support channels to get this solved.

And that's why I will be buying the storage water version, no filter and those components do not look the best you can buy. Insurance claim in the making.

Please specify what exactly you mean. The filter goes between the water tap on one side and on the waterline connection on the appliance on the other side.
The vid is absolute inocuous, who needs help doing that? The most important thing is how to connect the filter, you cant find a single vid on the internet showing that, the manual is horrrible. Here in Brazil its like they hide the info in order to force u to pay for the assistance. Here a fridge costs making the currency atualization 11 thousand dolars a theft.
