Just acquired a 89 2.5 Dakota, your videos have been helpful with the teardown. The glovebox panel, the door handle trim price, fender removal, bed removal, very helpful .
I wish i would have watched this before attempting to eeplace my heater core...would have saved me soooo much time! Thanks for the clies i missed....now o can get it the rest of the way out!
Been hanging with you all weekend brother! Love the channel...thanks for bringing us along the journey. I have a 89 dakota 4x4 that’s been in the family since 92. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Question do I have to pull the hole dash out just to get the dash pad off to restore the pad just want to pull the pad out to fix the cracks on it ??????????
It takes little over an hour if you're careful and have another set of hands. But I recommend removing the seat, and that takes a little bit of time too
I have an old 89, and im just now getting into cars as of a week ago or so. Is that the original interior? Mine is old faded and my seat is pretty rough. I can't find a new bench seat anywhere or one that's compatible.
I replaced the bench seat from one of the other Dakota's we have. Kinda play musical seats. Did the same with the dash, so for the most part the interior has all been replaced. Good luck with your seat search!
@@midnightcatianfanfic3994 this is a full dash that we pulled out of a parts truck we bought. It's not just a cap unfortunately. I dont think anyone makes just the cap
I'm seeing that truck before. I actually think you're a member of my group on Facebook. I could be wrong. Anyhow, sweet ride, bro. Lovin it ✌️
Oh thanks! Yeah I've been in the Dak groups for a bit! Thanks for checking it out!

I don't think they separate that I am aware of. Not sure if they can be repaired outside of buying a fiberglass cover.
@RacerXGarage ok thanks alot
How long need it take to remove the dashboard

where did you pick up your dash from? I'm hemi swapping a first gen dakota
This dash came from a donor truck we bought a while back. They're not reproduced, but I do think someone makes covers for them
what cap is that?? I havent been able to find one online
Not following "cap" , what are you referring to?
@@RacerXGarage dash cap

@@RacerXGarage ill be damned. i really need to be able to find a dash but 90s dodge is renowned for the dashes just crumbling
Did you put newer style column in it ?
No, it is the stock column. I've never removed it
I have a couple 1989 Dakotas and my steering wheel isn't like that one. I think someone has put a newer style in it.
@@pltmann my Dakota is a 1992, so it's correct for the year. The earlier ones were a bit different and 1994 and up had the airbag wheel.
My mistake. I was thinking it was an 89.
@@pltmann ah I wasn't worried about it. Thanks for the Comments and Questions! I'm happy to help if i can
Where did you get the dash?
We got it from a donor truck we bough a while back
