    The weight of your bolt plays a lot of factors on how high or low you hit on target not the scope. Try a lighter bolt and learn the yardage of the cross hairs. To many variables for the scope to be dead on at 10 yard per hair

      Outdoors With Joe you would figure a heavier bolt would drop faster than lighter. I’ve figured it out, I’m just having to aim between lines so to speak. As far as consistent groups it stays pretty tight, I’ll give it that.

    I have the same bow shooting 20 Blood Sport Hunters and 100 grain Rage Hypodermic NC. Finished weight is 425. I am shooting the factory scope. Top line is 10/20/30. Line 2 is 40. Line 3 is 50. Bottom line is 60. The point of the triangle is 70.

    You have a good crossbow there. It is virtually identical with the Dagger 390, and Mercenary 390. Centerpoint basically is calling the sniper by three different names, the dagger the mercenary and the sniper. Personally I don’t see any design differences in any of them and they all have a 185 lb. pull. Comparing yours to my Dagger 390 They’re identical as far as I can see. Centerpoint even admits and says they are basically the same crossbow marketed under different names. Because of low cost and fairly high quality of these Center point crossbows the price is sure to rise in the future as people catch on and demand increases. Please make a follow up to this video with your new scope.

      Yes this is a lot like the Dagger 390. I have one and I think it's a great crossbow. And the trigger is much better than a lot of shot.

    The scope appears to be the exact same one found on the CP Amped 415 ($450). Also, it shares the ball bearing retention spring found on the CP CP400. I can't wait to try out the XT390! I may pick up the same bolts as you, this package contains none.

    I'm considering a Dagger 390 on sale for $250. I appreciate your review. I see nothing wrong with your scope, however. If you want a crossbow scope that lines up crosshairs @ 20, 30, 40, 50, etc, you have to pay more for an adjustable speed scope that adjusts to your arrow speeds. You should never expect a simple crossbow scope with just basic non-adjustable to crosshairs to line up perfectly. If they do, you just got lucky & nothing more. Change you arrow weight & things would change , too! With an adjustable speed scope, you could adjust it to a slower or faster bolt coming out of your crossbow. With a basic crossbow scope you are at the mercy of wherever the crosshairs hit. It becomes your job to practice & know where you bolts hit for each line. Personally, I would sight in the 20 line knowing you may need to aim slightly low @ 10 yards & slightly high @ 30 yards. Then maybe your 2nd line becomes the 40 line or something close to that. If I buy a Dagger 390, I wouldn't expect each line to be perfectly on @ 10 yard intervals. I would only have that expectation of an adjustable speed crossbow scope. Anyone have a good one?

    • @Jerry0153A
      @Jerry0153A Год назад

      As stated by others, these inexpensive scopes will not track at the typical 10 yard increments. You need to practice and find out what each site line represents with the arrow setup you will be using. I have a label maker and I have placed a label on my crossbow with my scope distances recorded. For my 370 it goes 20-33-42-50. This works for me. But if it doesn't for you then buy a better scope with an adjustable speed dial.

    I have the mercenary 390 I'm also shooting 425 grain arrows. I bought an aftermarket scope from Killer Instinct speed ring scope it definitely helps set up distance and markings.. I have from 10 yards out to 100 in the scope. I shot it out to 60 and is dead on. Any speed ring scope will have you set up at distances. I chose Killer Instinct because of the red and blue reticle

    Bought this crossbow Friday. Got the cocking rope stuck between the rail and scope mount. First time pulling it back. Trip to pro shop to get rope cocker out. Lost all confidence in product. First time crossbow owner. First time pulling rope. Still haven’t shot crossbow. Hooks were up. Thinking back on it I believe the safety was on safe before cocking. Anyhow maybe a video suggestion. Pros hot said it was the 2nd one in 24 hours. They put it in a vise.

      @@hardinsoutdoorsadventures operator error safety was on pre pull of cocking rope. The rope pulls the safety on when cocking. If the safety is on the rope can’t engage trigger mechanism. In short safety off before pulling cocking rope. No problems since. Great product enjoy shooting it.

      I loved the 370, I haven't checked lately but the last I looked the 370 was scarce and over priced. The XT 390 is a fantastic bow also, and honestly they are about the same besides the obvious, the 390 technically shoots faster. My advice, I would go with which ever one you could find the best deal on.

    Can this be used for hunting?

    • @hardinsoutdoorsadventures
      @hardinsoutdoorsadventures  3 года назад +3

      Yep! I used the older 370fps model for white tail. This one is 390fps. Now those ratings are with a specific grain, my finished bolt weight is a little heavier for more kinetic energy. They say 250fps and up is safe to ethically shoot a white tail. Of course distance plays a factor. Along with kinetic ft lbs of energy. Hope this isn’t confusing. Simple answer yes, I wouldn’t shoot an elk lol, but white tail, wild boar and etc. is fine. Hope this helps!

      Mine didn’t ,but that’s kinda good if you think about it, arrows are $70 cad or so, that just means all the money was spent on the crossbow it’s self, not the crossbow minus the cost of bolts and other accessories.. hence why the scope is bare as fuck lol
