Location: Eastern Nameless Mausoleum (from Recluses' River Downstream site of grace look down the cliff directly where the site of grace is, there you can drop down from one platform to the next until you reach the river below, go up the river to find the Mausoleum)
Difficulty: 4/10
Strategy: Rakshasa is a human enemy using a Katana for short-range melee attacks. His most used attack is a stab, which is easily dodged or outrun. He sometimes does a jump attack or a 2-4 hit combo. His katana deals quite a lot of damage but his moveset is very limited and slow. He will dodge a lot. Best strategy is to run close to him to bait him into attacking, let him miss his attack and counterattack. As a mage, shoot him with Great Glintstone Shard after he misses an attack, rinse and repeat.
Reward: 90,000 Runes, Rakshasa's Great Katana, Rakshasa's Helm, Rakshasa Helm, Rakshasa Armor, Rakshasa Gauntlets, Rakshasa Greaves

Also if anyone is getting trouble with this boss and doesn't want to parry him. Put giant hunt ash of war on a weapon and spam it at him he gets perma cc by it.

I had similar experience using Spear of the Impaler from Messmer, some reason I was able to beat that boss before this guy. the spear's basic attack has such a long reach and breaks his poise, if you have the stamina youre able to also perma cc him.

This boss is so cheap and unfair.
He doesnt run out of stamina.
Has too long reach.
Staggers you each hit.
Builds bleed even if you block.
Recovers from stagger in a second if you manage to stagger him.
The devs already soft cap how high you can level up.
And the one guide out here is spamming a ranged attack.
This boss is some straight up bs.
Just parry
Get good he hit me once the whole fight and i did it on my try

Actually, i found a really easy way to kill him if you guys happened to find and pick up the backhand blade it has a skill called blind spot basically youll dash left or right then slash literally every single one of his slow swings are punishable by the blind spot skill i just beat him that way hope this helps!!

Beat him very easily after struggling a few times. Use the Sacred Order weapon art to constantly damage him, everytime the wave hits him he falls back, just rinse and repeat, make sure to bring FP flasks

if you’re having trouble just use the elden beasts weapon and spam the AOW. i do have a +10 on it
The TRUE cheese is the moonveil katana, the vertical slash knocks him out of animation every time.
Do any know how much additional dmg I will get using this armor? since it says that I will do more damage but I will receive more dmg.
if you use uchigatana and spam unsheathe, it will knock her back everytime

How do you get to the grace at the start?
You need to kill the Golden Hippo and drain the northern castle. Takes forever. Then you need to find the coffin to take you down. Then travel across downstream until you find him. Good luck 👍

Remember the end of the game and some farmed for runes with a wave? go get the sword and just spam it SACRED RELIC SWORD

from the moment i entered the area , even before he gets a change to move and you can lock on , spam wave of gold , carian filgreed crest , primal glintstone blade and the turtle medalion for extra stamina and fp

After The golden hippo boss fight in the same castle head down a ladder guarded by the shadow militia men outside, then you will enter sewers. In the sewer there is a coffin that will lead to the area to reach this boss, it also leads to another boss area if you keep going so its worth checking out

If you were using starts of ruin you would have beat him like 3 minutes earlier
Here's how I beat raksasha:
1. Equip big weapons (greatsword or hammer with heavy setup) & Claw Talisman for guaranteed stagger & increase jump attack damage
2. Spam heavy jump attack (R2) so he guaranteed to get staggered in one attack
3. Watch out for the double slash attack, get a distance until he stop spamming the double slash attack
4. Dont get cornered
Note: you can use the boost stagger damage mixed physick to get better stagger damage
Me too 😂 what I used is Maliketh's Black Blade.
Simply waiting for a window (after his jump attack or etc) that you can jump heavy attack on him. After that, depends on the situation 2 more hits then roll away.

I used dry leaf monk style on him. The charge fist attack knocks the crap out of him.
While I understand your frustration, there are no bosses in soulsborne games that are impossible to beat. It’s always a skill and patience issue
Lol the comments, boss isn’t as hard as you guys are making it. Used a regular Heavy Katana and just punish his attacks with a roll + attack for a stab attack that staggers him then full light combo. 3/4 rotations of that and he’s dead. thanks for the location guide.
Yeah not too different from the other mausoleums. No match for the classic Blasphemous Blade L2 spam.
Not a single one of these mausoleum fights have been fun. These alone make the dlc an 8/10. I really hope someone gets terminated over these for gross incompetence
Absolute dog sh** of a boss. The only way I could beat him was with my +9 visage shield. Basically he made me walk the whole time backwards with my flamethrower on because apparently he can withstand the whole duration of my stamina bar (depletes faster than FP) without getting staggered and he will be walking towards you and attacking you like nothing has happened.
this boss just has bad design
