Wow Gary congratulations I’m back from the times before the Chanel deletion and I’m so happy to see the evolution of your channel and that your still here making quality videos never give up
I’m one of the first buyers of the first batch of Reef Masters back in 2018. I can attest that it has withstood the test of time, even though mine is the black DLC variant. I have worn this watch every day for work and it still looks and feels great.
I bought the yellow one even though I don't like yellow. Mostly because I didn't want any orange on it and it looked "cool and manly" with the black white and yellow. This became very quickly a favourite of mine! And my.old favourite was an Oris Aquis 43 mm. Really really comfortable bracelet and I love the form of the case! The polished chamfer is amazing. There are some downsides to the watch of course but the fit and finish makes up for it imo.
This does look really nice...this brand can sometimes get on the wild side with colors or bracelets. This piece gives me CW vibes a bit....which is a compliment.
I wish I were as passionate about something as AliExpress watch companies are about making watches without a date - the most basic and useful of complications, that has been around for over a hundred years.
I have the Proteus and really like the watch. I think this this looks a bit nicer than the one I own. The Reef Master is on my list!!! Great Review! 👍👍👍
Reminds me of a Ball dial. Beat error rather high for a brand new watch. Very legible, which I always like. Looks nicely made, clasp apart. Would look good on a nato-style strap I think.
I've become obsessed with white dials too. So versatile, you can completely change the look with different colours and styles of straps. This one doesn't do it for me though. I dislike the segmented arabics, the whole look is a bit bland and, as another subscriber has commented, I too am suffering from diver fatigue these days.
I love phoibos though I've never owned one, the reason being they are just to big and bulky. 14mm is way too thick. They need to start slimming their watches down imo
A white, textured dal is going to be about subtlety, but the white numerals/ markers on white dial with white accents on the handset. And the bezel ring... It's a bit bland. The yellow and the black dial version seem to show off the details much better. As one of the other posters here noted, it's just another diver in a sea of divers. I think you'd have to love this brand to pull the trigger. And there's quite a few Phoibos that I do like better than this one. Thanks for the review though! Cheerio!
The case shape does not resemble a turtle. It features so called "lyre lugs". If anything, the case shape bears some resemblance to the Omega Aqua Terra imho.
Has anyone had success regulating NH35. I myself can make my clocks with nh35 go about + 1-2 seconds a day, but after a few weeks they start to go 5-10 seconds a day
I am supremely underwhelmed by this one. It's very plain in my opinion. In terms of the numerals, not a fan of that either. I like the hands and the bracelet looks good.
I always seem to like Phoibos, but for some reason never enough to pull the trigger. This one to me looks as if CW and Ball had a baby. I always enjoy seeing whats new, but again, sorry Phoibos this is a pass.
Weird website. No mention of price. No way of showing interest in a specific colour. No early bird list. Unlike another well known HK watchmaker I recently dealt with.

i love this channel .....i m not even that into watches but it s very relaxing watching videos and hearing about them.
Lol, thanks…appreciate the feedback!
Nothing really jumps out at me on this one, good specs but it's just another in a minefield of decent divers. Bezel insert is cool though.

Great upgrade, and the first version was beautiful as well. Love Phoibos!
Great video. PS: Your Mondaine clock stopped ;o)
That is a good looking watch, and I love the tapered H-link bracelet.
Very nice. And I agree. The white/silver is the one I would go for. Thanks for the heads up and the review.

They should have used the Miyota 9000 series movement would have been a great choice. The yellow colorway looks really good.
I love this watch. Had one of the first Gen and have a regret of selling it.
I just miss the black DLC version.
I wish I were as passionate about something as AliExpress watch companies are about making watches without a date - the most basic and useful of complications, that has been around for over a hundred years.
Cool watch for sure I’m liking the grey dial over the white
I have the Proteus and really like the watch. I think this this looks a bit nicer than the one I own. The Reef Master is on my list!!! Great Review! 👍👍👍
Journey into space,
The best logo in the game,
Kawaii octopi.
very nice... i want the yellow dial version.... cheers
The Freaking Octopus 🦑 kills it for me 🥷
I'm so glad it's not just me😂. Cannot get past that logo 🙈
@@hobbo792 It looks like a toy 🐩 a grown man should not wear this 🥷
I picked up the limited edition Islander colab with the purple dial. Great watch!
Very good looking 😊
I've been hankering for a white dialed watch for a while. Settled on a white dialed Sinn 104 from Ryan at F&G.
Reminds me of a Ball dial. Beat error rather high for a brand new watch. Very legible, which I always like. Looks nicely made, clasp apart. Would look good on a nato-style strap I think.

please replace the battery in your clock.
I have the Phoibos x Islander Collab. I love it but I don't like the clasp. Hard to open and it is riveted.
The H-link is comfortable though.
I got one too..its my only purple dial. only Collaboration
Only limited edition
Nice watch ❤
Thanks.
Seems like the number and index cut outs are not that clean. Probably would not notice on wrist but under magnification you can see it.
Hi Gary looks like your wall clock has stopped, new battery needed?
Yeah….I’ll get round to it one day!
I love phoibos though I've never owned one, the reason being they are just to big and bulky. 14mm is way too thick. They need to start slimming their watches down imo
Same reasons why I don't own one, but I just purchased a Helm that's 15mm thick. Wanna talk about chunky😅

I have the Purple Islander version
Its my only limited edition watch
I'm starting to suffer from diver fatigue, this is nice in the white dial though.
Not getting excited about the dial design on this one Gary. The rest all looks great.
The clock is not working on the wall?
glad I checked the comments before I said the same! 😅
thinking about getting one. perhaps a hair too thick...?
No blue dial on a diver ?
The case shape does not resemble a turtle. It features so called "lyre lugs". If anything, the case shape bears some resemblance to the Omega Aqua Terra imho.
Not a fan of this one, but great review!
The Mondaine Clock on the wall has died 😢
Has anyone had success regulating NH35. I myself can make my clocks with nh35 go about + 1-2 seconds a day, but after a few weeks they start to go 5-10 seconds a day
I’ve been told that you need to regulate an NH35 to +5 spd on the timegrapher so it wears closer to 0spd on the wrist
I regulate my NH35's if necessary. Not noticed the drift you speak of. The watch needs to have been run in for a few days before regulating.
@@julianb1474 ok thanks a lot I will try that
Gary sounds a little bit down lately. Chin up buddy.
Sumoesque
I just don't like the numerals with that cut-out line down the middle. The military-type font is cheesy and would be better with a solid font.
I am supremely underwhelmed by this one. It's very plain in my opinion. In terms of the numerals, not a fan of that either. I like the hands and the bracelet looks good.
Maybe its my screen but the stencil style numbers on the dial look terrible. Its a shame because the rest of the watch is great.
Love the wave master its a stunning watch but this is one of my least favourite watches and i never wear it.
I like their watches, but dear god do I hate their logo. That’s the main thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on one of their watches.
There watches tend to look like a cartoon piece
I always seem to like Phoibos, but for some reason never enough to pull the trigger. This one to me looks as if CW and Ball had a baby. I always enjoy seeing whats new, but again, sorry Phoibos this is a pass.

It's about $280 now if you use the discount code , which gives you $55 dollars off.
...the dial is ugly and the indices looking cheap - well done phoibos...
