Yes you would, I made my tortoise a temporary habitat at a friends house as well for the time my parents are gone (about three weeks) and I am just bringing her original bulbs with her. I hope you have someone to take care of her for those two weeks?

Buying tortoises from a local breeder is the best option. That way you can also see the parents of your tort and make sure they are kept in nice living conditions. I would say russian tortoises cost around 300$ a year plus the cost of electricity for running those lights.

It depends, they can go anywhere from 50$-300$ depending if you buy them from a local breeder or a petstore.

I just checked kijiji for you and there is no tortoises being sold in your area right now. What I would do is ask the petstore where they bought the tortoise (small stores buy locally a lot as it pleases customers to support local breeders). If they bought the tortoise from a local breeder ask them for contact information as you want to ask the breeder about the parents of the tortoise or other information. Then once you got the information contact the breeder and see if he sells them for less.
