He was the architect of rock and roll. And he wasn’t given much credit for it.
How dont people understand what he is saying? He was straight forward. The devil is real. He isnt red with horns. He looks like us. All forms; men, women, young, old, black and white, many different forms. He was telling him that when a huge record exec comes looking for you to sign that paper thats what you need to worry about. You sell your soul when you’ll change who your are for that dollar. When you’ll do anything you want normally do for more of that money. Such as letting the execs have control over your name(James Brown and his famous flames). thats was the say james sold his soul. He let record company influence him over the people who helped him get where he wanted to be. and once you do that there is no going back.
It's so crazy how life would happen between these two. In Little Richard's last public appearance, he told how he lost his house because he hit bottom, financially. He and James Brown lived close to each other and he knew that JB would've helped him, but he had too much pride to ask him for help. I think they both had a lot of respect for each other.
Lil Richard was tellin James about Con Artist who MASTER in understanding CONTRACTS & how They are able to recognize a DUMMY when they see/hear One. It's part of THE GAME.
Such a powerful scene.. richie telling JB he’s going to have to sell his soul and when the time comes you have to look the devil in his eye don’t blink or nothing and tell him what you want. The children of the most high all caught what was happening here. Even more powerful when James decided to sell out his band the white man stood at the end of the table and asked if he knew what he wanted 😖
Corey B That IS from Bible. It’s deeper than what you probably have knowledge of about what Esau represents in the Bible. I can explain it to you if you want.
Michael Jackson returned Little Richard's musical catalog back to him in the 1980s after he discovered it among the ATV catalog MJ had bought which also included Elvis, the Beatles and 2 million other songs. This scene is bitter sweet because James, Richard and Jackie Wilson all taught MJ the workings of the industry and the traps set for Black artists, which allowed him to navigate it easily and amass billions in assets, but they eventually destroyed MJ through his innocence.
Dragon Ball Super I don’t think Michael Jackson could be considered “innocent”. He was in the industry all his life. That’s the opposite of innocent. He was a veteran musician/businessman. An innocent person is someone who comes into it not knowing how it works. MJ had more experience than anyone, which is why he amassed billions. He got in the game early.
@@wellesradio I don't think you know what innocent means. Innocent as in his character was trusting and naive. He cared too much and that's what led to his demise.

Brother that’s the epitome of discreditable.
Powerful, thought provoking and moving. My interpretation is that he was preparing James for the lure and glamour of Music business success, and how it creates confusion, misguidedness and pulls you away from God and his purpose for you. Also, the reminiscing about what they've been through was sad, as they both suffered horrific abuse, abandonment and were not cared for as children. For those of us who are African American, it's an all too familiar reflection that can be related to personality or through the eyes for friends. Please know the I do understand that forms of abuse are NOT only attributed to the Black community. My response is specific to the individuals in the clip.
