    thank you Sawyer i love how it sounds too..lol. i made those pipes. Stock head pipes with 1.75" OD 14 " extensions with homemade baffles.
    I cut 3 slits and hammered them on and over top of the stock muffler stops on the head pipes. then welded it all up and wrapped them.

    i made a seat pan. i am no longer using the seat in this video. I attached a bracket to the middle front of the pan. it bolts to the gas tank mount.
    there is another video showing the spring solo seat. that is bolted to the stock frame cross over plate.
    originally i used the stock 2 up seat pan and cut it down to a solo. but with doing luanches, its to weak the way its mounted. so i made a new pan. hope that helps.

    Figured I'd up date on this video since it has the most hits. The bike now has a 120 front tire, new back tire and shock boots. I made a seat pan and covered it in the same material. It has solo seat springs. Harley round rider pegs. Thermal fan switch is jumped out and I'm running the fans to a toggle and I got a radiator cap with a built in temp gauge.
    Next week I'm installing pod filters and a rejet. I hope to post a new video then. Peanut tank is in the works.

    • @manchild111
      @manchild111  7 лет назад

      No prob. Out of the bikes i've owned and modded the only time i've lost performance was with shorty drag pipes. Lost low end torq. Increased top end horsepower. My extensions are 14" long. If you stay within an inch of that your torq and power will go up. TOP END MPH/KPH will increase too imo.

    • @manchild111
      @manchild111  4 месяца назад +1

      This was the first iteration of the seat. Lol What I did here was cut down the original seat pan and then added rear mounting points. I then trashed that seat pan and made my own out of diamond plate. I added a spring kit because the hard tail was hurting my back. If you look at my other videos you will see the final iteration of the bike. It's completely different than what you see here.

    Sorry I didn't answer you sooner. I'm usually on that shit. But for some reason these comments are old first. Idk. Weird.
    Anyway. Easy as pie. For right now I'm not running a tach. But I do plan to. All I did was safe off the tach wires when I put a motor from a 84 500. Long Story. But 84's are cable drive tachs. But when I bore out my original motor I will buy an electronic tach.
    The speedo has to be a 2240:60 ratio. Mostly all Metric bikes use this speedo ratio.

    • @manchild111

      Hey Joe. No I did NOT rejet. I adjusted the air fuel screws outward to allow more fuel. A/F screws is NOT THE IDLE SCREW. The A/F screws have a factory cap that must be drilled out to get to them. Should be how tos on the forum or Y/T. As long as you keep the stock air filter and air box you will NOT have to re jet. ALTHOUGH a rejet would improve the bike over all. Even in stock trim. They are set LEAN from the factory.

    • @manchild111
      @manchild111  4 года назад +1

      If you are not at sea level you may need to rejet. It depends. I would still turn the A/F screws out first. Do NOT turn the A/F screws out passed 3.5 turns. BE SURE THAT ONCE DIALED IN, USE SOME RTV in the holes for the a/f screws so they don't vibrate out over time.

    Where did u get that exaust?

    • @manchild111
      @manchild111  5 лет назад

      I made it. lol. Using 1.75" od pipe 14" length. I cut 3 1" slits and got a hammer and a block of wood and hammered them over the stock head pipes muffler stops and then had my buddy weld them on for me. Then I bent up some home made lollipop baffles.( basically flat brackets bent in half with a hole drilled in it.) But you can use a bolt and washer method. Just google Lolli Pop baffles. Placed them 3" inward into the front cyl pipe and 2.5" inward into the rear cyl. pipe. You will need to adjust the air fuel screws on the carbs. to dial it in so there is no pops on deceleration. Hope that helps. My buddy and I wrapped them.

    I subscribed ! Lol i wonder if you still use your channel but I was wondering what does drilling the slides mean ? I found your forum post and it gave me hope since mine isn’t running at its best. My bike has uni foam filters/pods with straight pipes no baffle and has 42 slow jets with 128 front & 138 rears. I did the calculator for carbjetkits.com and gonna need 45 slow jets with 128 and 130 main jets. Just wondering if I need to drill the vac slides like you did but I don’t even know what that is lol. I’ve torn apart my carbs many times so I know what to disassemble.

    • @manchild111
      @manchild111  4 года назад +1

      Hi Albert. Thanks for subbing. First and fore most since you are not running any type of baffle you should test for reversion on decel.( Should be a detailed how to post on the forum by me if I remember correctly.) I would suggest that you install some lollie pop baffles or something. You are risking burning out an exhaust valve by running straight pipes. It depends on how long your pipes are as to how fast an exhaust valve will/can burn up. I made my own lollie pop baffles. You can do a search to see how they are made or you can order some by the size of pipe (INNER DIAMETER) you are running. DRILLING THE SLIDES. On the bottom of the Vac slides is a small hole. I forget the size drill bit but drill them out. Search the forum for the size bit or call Carb Jetkits. They may tell you.
