Actually asking the guests how they define a failed life seems to be a better question. Though it is nice to know what defines a successful life, it may be difficult for everyone to achieve that. By asking guests how they define a failed life, we can avoid failure that may not necessarily lead to a successful life, but ensures we at the very least do not fail in life.
Thankful for awesome episode as always, keep up the good work!
This was an exceptional episode. A friend of mine told my about the similar study of regrets. He turned them around and called them the "5 Life DOs": 1. pursue your dreams 2. choose to be happy 3. cultivate friendships 4. take time out 5. say what you think Also, loved the reverse thinking about the investors performance given a portfolio. The resonated with the conversation about Peter Lynch's fund in the 80s where the portfolio performance was exceptional, but the performance of the participants of the fund were negative because of bad decisions made by the investors. There's so much gold in this episode. Thanks once again for talking so much sense.
@@cameronpassmore1561 haha, you are always a firehose of book recommendations. I'm a big fan of his book Drive, so this recommendation will go higher up the ever growing queue.
Amazing video. I have been too lazy to watch your podcast lately, despite them being some of the best thing you can listen to (I have some catching up to do), but I am so glad I clicked on this. I am getting the book. This guy is truly amazing.

The new book from Daniel Pink, The Power of Regret looks excellent. I have listened to a couple recent interviews with him. Super interesting.

Thank you so much for your summaries.
That desert island question must have been what Andrew asked himself before deciding to postpone replacing his webcam from the early 2000s
I am trying to make a post in Rational Reminder Community and can't figure out how. Can anyone help?
the hosts need better microphones..they are speaking so softly when asking questions of the guests..
Germany has a 50%+1 rule for Soccer (football) team ownership.
I appreciate Andrew Hallam, but it should be illegal to go on RUclips videos with a crap microphone such as one built-in your headphones.
That's quite literally what RUclips is for. If you want big budget production stick to big media houses.
I disagree. The content is great and didn’t have any issues understanding. Be more positive.
