Daxter, someone made an actual game out of nextbots instead of being chased. It is called “Nextbot Graveyard” and it has an actual objective other than being chased. I’d love to see you check it out!

Once they explore and learn the map the nextbot would enter a phase of hiding and stalking. Learning where you go and figuring out a spot where the player would be caight off guard if they come in the place. The next would be the chase. They would go only start the chase phase when they catch the nextbot sees the player in hiding. They would go in a indirect path to make a sudden and strategic path to catch you off guard or at least get in front of you. If there is no path for getting infront it will go in an enraged phase. In the enraged phase the nextbot will go a bit faster. I would say 2 times faster to get in front. Once it gets in front it will slow down to 1.5x speed and continue the chase. Even if you die if it gets enraged it will remember it killed you and stay enraged. A fun idea for the enraged is they can stack up. So it can be 6 times faster but when the nextbot kills you it resets to the normal enraged 1.5x speed. That would be a fun nextbot to see
