    Superb tutorial Boomer, love those blackberry bushes, the mix of darker tones with the purple makes such a difference. Some great tips in there, and showing the benefits of using an airbrush, not only for painting. It seems so obvious when you see someone else do it, lol. I will have to use a spray bottle for that part. Thanks again and all the best. Brian @ The Angels.

Now, I have a sense of "paying it forward" obligation because of all the reward the gift has bestowed upon me, and to teach those who want to share and learn the skills in the same type of way. It's all teachable. No one taught me really, I just read all the books and put it to practice. RUclips has also made the sharing platform possible. I will keep getting on you until you change it 😜, let me see, which is the best approach to get my message across , I want to be constructive and positive as well. The photo you posted yesterday had me fooled , I thought it was real UNTIL I looked at the sky. Probably the biggest disappointment with me atleast when it comes to your sky is the shadows. An easy solution could be painting silhouettes of trees , not to much detail , it will absorb the shadows and may also add depth. As always Boom , Thanks for sharing. Cheers 😃🇺🇸

    Boom another great video a question I have why do you use so much glue at the start of the process? This side of the pond we call them brambles. My inclination would be to use an atomiser with some washing liquid in the mix. I am so impressed with your channel I am Sharing it with my Friends in the British Region 👍😎🚂🚂🚂🚂 Neil

    • @boomerdiorama
      @boomerdiorama  3 года назад

      Good question. I use lots of glue in order to saturate the poly fiber. It also helps to form a solid base on the foliage. Otherwise, it dries too fast (when arranging it), and subsequently leads to the material becoming to fragile. It falls apart when you handle it. Furthermore you want the glue to flood all the associated mediums and static grass, etc. to create a solid "model" of the foliage subject you are building. In my method and experience , when it comes to glue I use more. When it comes to material I use less. Besides carpenter glue is cheap, especially when thinned with water. Cheers. ~ Boomer.

    I know this is an older video.
    Would matte medium and water for for this instead of glue?
    Also have you tried the ground oregano on trees and bushes, instead of the Noch or Wooldand scenics leaves? It turned out really good in this case, and I was wondering if it would be a more frugal alternative. 🙂

    • @boomerdiorama
      @boomerdiorama  Год назад +1

      Yes. I use matte medium for just about everything. Ground oregano can work but I find it to be quite brittle and it changes color (fades) quite quickly when in contact with paint or glue.

    Question Boomer, when you arranged the vines on the parchment paper, why did you use 50/50 matte medium instead of 50/50 glue?

    • @boomerdiorama
      @boomerdiorama  3 года назад +1

      Because the "matte medium" is more flexible and has a flatter transparency. You could probably get away with Carpenters glue as well. I just like the Matt Medium more because of the compatibility with painted scenery. It is a paint emulsion at the end of the day, not to mention it's excellent adhesive factor.

    I disagree. I think it looks awesome. It's just the right amount of look. It adds to the whole look that brings in the realism. And it enhances the grass. I love the look. I can almost see the berries. I think it could use a rust out 50 gallon dented barrel laying on its side.
