The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a cultural and commercial facility .

That utilizes two historical buildings constructed more than a century ago.

It was built as a government bonded warehouse during the Meiji and Taisho eras and, as Japan’s first modern port facility, played an important role in the nation’s development.
It stopped being used as a warehouse in 1989, later undergoing nine years of conservation and renovation work until reopening in 2002 as a cultural and commercial facility.

横浜赤レンガ倉庫は文化・商業施設です。
1世紀以上前に建てられた2つの歴史的建造物を利用しています。
明治・大正時代に保税倉庫として建設され、日本初の近代的な港湾施設として、国の発展に重要な役割を果たしました。
1989年に倉庫としての使用を停止し、その後9年間の保存と改修工事を経て、2002年に文化的および商業的施設として再開されました。
