It is not THAT far off from what happens near eastern border. Only now that there is cellphones, people tend to drink even more at the hunting hut because you can track and listen whenever dogs can finally find the game from the woods. Not much other use for phones than that, people still prefer to drive for few km to visit neighbour instead of calling for small favors.

Bucks is slang we use in Canada for all currency. Consider it more of a joke then serious slander
