I'm glad videos like this exist. It makes me so mad when people say today that Shaq was all power and no skill. It's always people who probably never actually saw him play and have only seen highlights of him dunking on people. I grew up watching prime Shaq. I was there. He was way more skilled than people realize. He had very polished post moves and he had finesse. He was also one of the better passing centers of his era.

The twin towers use to get bullied by The Diesel. MJ, Shaq and LBJ are the three greatest players I ever watched with Duncan, Hakeem and Kobe right behind them.

I actually think nba coaches and Shaq should have used his athleticism, height, strength more instead playing point center doing what traditional was believed to be proper and great basketball…going iso letting the defender guard you and using technique and footwork to score proving your skill playing the game the right way. Like there was the old idea using your athleticism was bad, that just dunking and not going iso but instead doing lobs or moving off ball to get an open dunk ever play was wrong because basketball was a game for those who were educated, college educated, and an academic game for which the most skilled wins , a game teduc

Not to sound like a hater but these aren’t even good post moves. They’re literally only “working” because he’s bigger and taller than his opponents and is just shooting over them while fully contested. A good post move will get you an uncontested layup, open drive, or space for an uncontested shot. 99% of these would not work if you’re not bigger/taller than your opponent and could shoot over them. Again these really only showcase Shaq’s physical prowess of being bigger and stronger. Not showing much in the way of skill.
