I dropped out of in person school abt 3 1/2 years ago due to my Tics, I haven’t had as many Absent Seizures as I used to, so hard for me to get anything done under pressure or when my anxiety is high, I’ve watched you and a few others with Tourette’s but I can relate to you more! Hi! I have Tourette's so I thought I'd answer your question. :) sometimes people with Tourette's can sort of regulate the volume of tics in certain situations, like making the vocal tics a little quieter. I do this in class when I can!

Thats not okay, that could potentially cause a tic attack. They should know about your tics and you should educate them, if you have a diagnosis ofc, so that they don't do that to you.

Hey Zara, I saw on another comment that you got 25% extra time and rest breaks for your exams, and I have non-epileptic seizures and Tourettes too, as well as ASD but my senco is saying that I can either have the extra time or rest breaks, not both for my GCSEs next year. Do you have any advice?
it depends on the school’s systems etc as i know different people have different situations! you should be allowed both if you medically need both though, ask your parents to contact your SENCO and work with any doctors notes you have to try and get the support you need (whether that be both or more)

Well I think tics that can get worse because I have them since I was3 years old but I have a friend who has tics that he says bad words in school all the time he can't hadle them because he always get in trouble im like so if he says from his tics you have to help him not to yell at him they asshole just saying and I need a advice for that reason it not OK with a kid that has tics for no reason

Seems funny but if you are the teacher , it can be difficult to get the other students to not emulate that behavior . One of my students for a class I sub for is in kindergarten and says “shut the f*** up” like every other minute . I don’t care , but it shows the other students that it is okay to curse . I know they are tics and he doesn’t mean them. But then one student actually said “f*** you” to another student in the class , and meant it . That’s when it isn’t okay. I can see his behaviour affecting the other students unfortunately .

My sisters don’t understand tics so when I tic they repeat and it just goes on like that for a while till they get bored -J
