- Todays video we wanted to share how we generally work over a Metal Repair with Ever coat Superbuild. After we work with this product with initial leveling and sanding... We show how we quick spot epoxy and go to 2k Primer for final. There are many ways to get the the same goal, this is our little way we have done for many years successfully. Thankyou!

Very good thanks for your time
Great 👍 prep work
Another informative video. Thanks Earl.
Trying way to make a bodywork video entertaining is almost impossible. Thankyou for hanging with us!
Loved the ending, great work as always
I have a lot of outtakes that get cut. This time I saved a few in editing.
Nice job..... that's pretty much exactly how I do it. Keep up the good work
Thankyou!, I know others may have different ways, this way we have used seems to yield the best results
Very informative
I noticed you broke through to bare metal on the fenders?
I've never sprayed 2k, must try it some day, fiberglass sun hat for the buggy coming up soon.
Like to see your work! Thankyou!
@@ES4406 very much an amateur, but your advice helps a lot.
High do you find your highs and lows without SEM guide coat?
The primer contrasts as we sand. We still do guide coat, but not often.
Ripped my SS nova door down to metal for the 3rd time using bogus #Eastwood products. My process was strip to metal, epoxy, contour filler very thin where it needed it. Then spray Contour polyester. They sent me new products said the epoxy and poly were out of date. (not dates on can) But the poly checked again only at the feathered edges of bondo work. After watch your video what brand fillers do you like under this superbuild? I need all new products now that won`t break the bank. Thanks in advanced.
Opinion Perspective...We normally don't use Evercoat 4 to 1 over top anything (its a Direct to metal application) but we have used it over Axalta 2580cr epoxy after 2 hr flash with excellent results, but its like any high build primer if you needed to "it can" be applied over other substrates. We have used Eastwood products in the past but not for bodywork. We mainly use 3MPlatinum for filler and USC Icing to final if need be. hope this helps some.
@@ES4406 So you do your filler repairs over the Spray poly?
@@Supanova70 only a preference, Using superbuild is a "more rigid hold" than body filler .. prefer to use the superbuild before bodyfill itself or 2k primers. I havent had any issues doing what we do ever. There are many others that will do different than us.
@@ES4406 Fantastic ty
What size tip are you using when spraying the high build? What is your gun pressure?
2.0 tip
@@ES4406 thank you! Guess I need another gun, rats!
When you mention 4:1 or 2:1 I assume you are talking about mix ratios but what does 2k refer to? Silly questions I suppose. You are the best at body/paint but your singing or humming-- not so much. Just kidding. I never miss your videos.
Yes just mix ratios to the primers.. super build is 4 to 1.. HB360 Primer is 2 to 1 and HB307 is 4 to 1... it's just something we say here to so when anyone mixes primer and sprays it it sticks in their head so there is no mistake.. we use a variety of products in restoration. Thankyou!
