- Minimal cutting and produced straight from the original video tape, this footage features the aircraft flying into Cardiff International during the Concorde Farewell Tour in October 2003.
Highlights include a Crosswind Approach, full ATC, BAMC staff getting a front-row spot as the aircraft proceeds to pull up right in front of them. Also includes an engine shut-down/start-up with full sound.
Look out for the cockpit staff waving the Welsh Flag out of the window.
This is carefully cut from a much longer video featuring crowd response to the special visit. I opted to cut it to focus on the aircraft footage.
This footage is the property of Channel405, and I have been given exclusive permission to showcase it on my channel.

Hehe, I have a pen, pencil and keyring with G-BOAC on it:)
They should NEVER' have retired this beautiful, amazing! Aircraft😢.
Aviation took a step backwards the day she retired. Amazing machine.
Por quê foi aposentado esse maravilhoso bird?
Sure, a step backward for all the plutocrats
@@valderivicentevicente6036Fuel Inefficient, Expensive to Maintain since the fleet was getting older, Supersonic travel had become less of a priority for most business travelers which was Concorde’s main demographic along with just the rich and wealthy in general.
@@richardmiranda640 Are u out of senses ? Wtf has this beauty gotta do with Plutocracy ??
The most beautiful bird in the sky.
It was indeed. Thank you for your comment.
@@realdeshaviation My pleasure.
After all the years I still marvel at the sight of that beautiful bird. I remember when Braniff international was promoting possible Concord service and was touring one in Braniff livery around their routs. It stopped at MCI in Kansas City for a day of touring. Yes, I went to see it and waited for it to take off. The sound it made was GLORIOUS! Concord is a testament to the can do spirit of the 1960s that we just can’t seem to muster nowadays.
The sound was what I loved about her too, she was so powerful and demanded respect. Thank you for your comment.
@@realdeshaviation Thank you for the video.
Such an amazing aircraft
Best close up footage of Alpha Charlie now based at Manchester Runway Viewing Park. Thanks for sharing, great to see!
Thank you very much.
I’ve been in AC …. At Manchester viewing park, such a awesome aircraft, one of very few that gives you goosebumps… still doesn’t look out of place against todays other aircraft.
Awesome looking Concorde.
concordo plenamente contigo
Wow 😳 I remember flying this exact same concord in the 80s time flies
Captain
aevay baknahoo👍🏼
Now I'm flying the a380
Definitely miss flying this concord
It was a celebrity many people showed up to see it.
I was there with my late parents. Travelled on AG myself in 1989.
Wow I bet that was absolutely amazing what an incredible memory. 😉
Beautiful aircraft! I flew on G-BOAF to Bridgetown, Barbados on 27 February 1988. Amazing flight and incredible service. Mach 2.2 at 65,000 feet.
Proud of this fantastic aircraft!
🏴🇬🇧
I never got the privilage, but love her just the same. Thanks for your comment ☺
Now that's what I call a real show 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much.
@@realdeshaviation 🤙👌
This was very amazing innovation back in the time.
Flew on her in 1993. Incredible.
Wow, amazing. Bet it was fantastic.
awesome aircraft😍
You would swear this was filmed in 2024! The quality and sound phenomenal 😍
Thank you very much for the kind words it was actually filmed using an old Sony DV cam with cassettes if you look at my channel icon you'll see me holding it thanks again
@@realdeshaviationdo you have the full clip of the engines starting, been looking for years and there is no videos of an active Concorde start up
@@kmk741 Yes, but it is only about three seconds in terms of sound from off to on, and because of the angle you can't actually see the engines spool-up. Shut down is a lot longer, but again it's more sound than visual.
would be cool to see@@realdeshaviation
I almost cry when I see concord she is so beautiful 😍
Same. Thanks for the comment. 😉
Moving along so very fast, yet the pilots remain calm and collected throughout the whole thing. What the neatest thing was, was when it landed, here comea all that sound barrier sound craft had been dragging behind it the whole way.
Nice Concorde footage
Thank you.
8:18, Very nice Concorde 😍👍
This aircraft should be revived and commercialized.
$
Superb video buddy!
Thank you so much.
Fantastic beauty
Thank you.
It's a crying shame the old girl is grounded.British Airways you should be ashamed of your selves.
Great Vid .....Big mistake to take her out of commission! Long live Lady Concorde
It was indeed, thank you for your comment 😉
Beautiful ❤ I'm sure i was there that day. Did the plane take people on a trip down to the bay of biscay that day.
Thank you 🙂
Even now, if launched, people will definitely fly Concord, irrespective of the pricing. If British Airways are not interested, they should give it to some private airlines.
She is beautiful sorry Britain can’t use her anymore ❤❤❤❤ love her
At least she left a fantastic Legacy.
Опередивший своё время .... 🛬✈️🛩️🛫🛩️✈️✈️🛬✈️
Concorde has nowdays the best guiness records to London-N.Y. (3h15') and go back, and the trip around the world (22h 58') for a commercial aircraft.
It was an astonishing aircraft.
Goverment too mean to keep her going..Great aircraft.ahoukd still be flying.
She now sits in her own special built hanger at Manchester Airport Visitors Park, and pay to go inside with a guided tour. Also have you noticed the little set of wheels under the tail fin
Unique in that the pilots checked for ‘four’ greens in the landing checklist!
I heard the sonic boom twice a day over Pembs but never saw the beautiful plane. The fun police made it fly over Irish Sea before going supersonic eventually.
Surely, it can be resurrected!
She was really gorgeous
I love to be there
I cant understand how this fantastic piece of history hasnt been made air worthy for dispkay and memorial flights. Just seems such a waste for this and the vulcan to be static. Incredible aircraft.
A lot of people agree with you there, they could have at least kept one going for air shows and special events.
Of all the planes to keep going, this one is the most difficult. The airworthy Vulcan display aircraft was grounded because it was just far too specialised to continue flying even for display. Concorde is about 9 times as specialised as Vulcan ever was. By comparison, Vulcan is a bow and arrow while Concorde is a Lee-Enfield.
@@qasimmir7117got you!
With that beak and tall landing gear she looks like a bloody bird of prey!
Great catch. It's history now. Is Airbus building a supersonic jet?😊😊
I think the Americans are working on their own version at the moment.
C'è un progetto segreto... Airbus 460 , il nuovo modello supersonico, dovrebbe essere pronto nel 2026
I hear NASA is working on a more quiet smaller supersonic prototype. A hard act to follow Concorde in sleek aerodynamic delta wing design beauty. Hopefully will be cheaper to operate and eco-friendly cleaner fuel burn.
best vidio ever
Thank you Ellis
*🤔🇲🇽 Si hubiéramos sido los mexicanos los que estaban ahí,, tendríamos un gran alboroto y mas al ver la bandera mexicana desde el CONCORDE !!* 🎊🎉
😃 🇲🇽 🥳🤩
BOAC??? My uncle worked for BOAC in the 50’s & early 60’s. It’s been British Airways for decades.
You are correct, it was a British Airways Concorde. BOAC is the registration of the aircraft.
Dommage !?.
Agree totally, thank you for your comment 😊😊
Everything about this bad boy I really like To me it’s Dynomite 7:07
What is the flag standard flown out the cockpit window while taxiing?
Its the Welsh Flag.
@@realdeshaviation Fair enough. Cheers from Australia.
Thank you for your comment.
so many unsatisfying reasons behind retiring this beautiful man made bird, do they still fly just for display and rememberance
It would cost a lot of money and take a huge effort mechanically to get the aircraft flying again. We can at least enjoy visiting her on the ground.
ok fyn
🤩
The giant graceful bird of the skies!! Through no fault of its own did the disaster happen( Allegedly). With the aid of a billionaire and permission this could still be possible.
I personally think that the incident in France was the excuse they needed to retire the aircraft, The Americans are working on something similar but it will never be as special IMO. Thanks for your comment 😊
@@realdeshaviation Thanks for your replies.
Beutifull aircraft why it didnt make it to commecial airlines.

Pot quê esse lindo e rápido avião foi aposentado?
I watched Concorde take off from Tampa airport in Florida many years ago ....I couldn't help over hear an American man say to his wife....Honey I always thought "the Concorde" was an American plane,it is an American plane she insisted.
Concorde was not American, it is a retired Anglo-French supersonic airliner jointly developed and manufactured by Sud Aviation (later Aérospatiale) and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC). The Americans are working on a more modern project for a new supersonic passenger jet.
From my understanding, not one part of Concord was American
A fantastic plane, way ahead of it's time. Russia tried to copy with disastrous results, América bloody jealous. 😊😊
What if they had to refit one of these aircraft with latest super donic up to date hightech engines
Yeah
Definitely
Super donic
Would be great 😸
Это огромная бочка с керосином больше никогда не полетит😢
Ту 144 лучше будет. Но и этот не менее прекрасен😊
Will be better. Well it’s been over 50 years and still isn’t…
gua tinggal di Bekasi Utara ya trs gua pas berangkat sekola masaa ngeliat pesawat ke gitu Cok sumpahh
Так и не догнал он ту 144
😐
Concord was a better aircraft than the B737,the latter should also retire
