Gordon is truly the unsung hero to this team. #50 practically stops every opposing primary point of attack in the paint while keeping Jokic foul trouble free to do his magic. He could have been a 20 pt threat on many teams but he chose to excel in this unglamorous role in Denver.

And that's the kind of player the Bucks are lacking. Portis, Crowder, Payne or Connaughton aren't good enough to step up and If Dame isn't shooting well, then it's over. Coz Middleton aint doing shit

@@satanscamaro5206I mean, Brook Lopez played phenomenal tonight. Great defense on jokic and very efficient scoring without taking up tons of possessions, the nuggets are just a great team, can’t walk in half assed against them and win, especially if Jamal is cooking.
I was just thinking that he is a major difference maker for the nuggets...he's not really relied upon for offense...he's more of a team spark plug defender big body brawler...but the fact that he can give you unexpected buckets...he becomes unsuspectingly dangerous. The heart he plays with reverberates.

agreed. Aaron Gordon plays from the heart. he almost always defends and though often it’s not effective, other times it makes all the difference.
@@johnnyseculareven if Gordans defense doesn’t seem “effective” he’s a big body that’ll tire a star down, and that often times then not wins Denver games, he won’t Lock up KD but he will slow him down enough for Denver to win and even win by 10+
@@DrewDowns6791 i totally agree. and that’s what i love about him. he will defend hard and get scored on or neutralized over and over again, and then he continues to defend hard. like you said, more often than not this has an overall negative effect on the opponent.
He’s such a good fit for them. Dude knows his role on the team and comes in every night and does it

Giannis showed up. Embid should learn from his mindset. You don't duck a game against the reigning champions in their arena. Of all the games, this is the one to never duck.

Pretty even match up between NUGGETS and BUCKS, they played well at PLAYOFF LEVEL. GIANNIS was dominant scoring inside/out, LOPEZ can hit those 3's. When DENVER'S 2-HEADED MONSTER (JOKIC and MURRAY) are in rhythm, with GORDON and REST of TEAM stepping up, they're TOUGH TO BEAT. Congrats DENVER NUGGETS 👏

@@gerardvermaat6944 Jokic doesn't have personal rivalry with anyone as he probably couldn't care less about those people and about the narratives. Which is why he isn't promoted as the best player in the world should be, because being just a guy who's really good at basketball isn't enough to draw views, controversy draws views nowadays and Jokic is not very controversial, he doesn't dress like a clown on meth, doesn't call people out, doesn't do commercials for big brands, doesn't have social media presence, etc.

At 8.50 you can see that when Aaron Gordon blocked Dame Lillard the ball deflected towards Jokic's right hand. He could have caught it. But he tabbed it actively towards Lillard who was out with one foot then with both feet. When the ball touched Lillard it was by the rules in Nuggets' possession now. Such speed of thought and reaction I rarely ever witnessed. Still I did many years ago...

For Bucks
1. Doc Rivers needs to step up and ask for things here. Dont be passive. Request plays. Extensive training on giving screens for Giannis, Lopez, Portis.
2. Giannis keep hussling. It's a game, keep playing. Work on your defense a bit, go for blocks, but dont foul. Doesnt matter if you get faked. When tired, let Lilard run the ball, give him a good screen up top
3. Lilard, take more shots. Start acting as number 2. Doesnt matter if you miss shots, you are team's no1 shooter and weapon. You should take almost as many shots as Giannis. Ask for screens, and take shots especially when Giannis is out.
4. Kris had a good game for his standards but should play less minutes. More rest for him. When gased, he is not useful. Crowder should cover some of his minutes, and needs more playtime to fulfill his role as opponent's best player defender
5. Lopez, good effort. Work on your screens.
Portis bad game, but it happens to everyone. PC and Payne, good effort
It's not a good game to pop out all your strategies for both teams.
The nice thing about Bucks games is i can hand wash an entire load of laundry while Giannis shoots a FT and not miss a moment.
And this why Giannis is too brave to win MVP this year. He might have a chance if he ducked out of this game with a last minute injury to his finger nail.

You’re actually wrong, the referee in the bottom in fact called it was a 2 pointer and it was counted as 2 points in the actual game. Jokic scored a free throw to make it 70, go watch the highlights from the nuggets account.
