Hey same here!!! I haven't played this game since like 2002! I loved the music in this game and it was so much fun to just run around and blow up dinosaurs.
I remember one of my teachers actually allowing me to play this when i finished assignments early in the classroom... talk about incentive who doesn't wanna play the game with a dino wearing a jetpack?
FINALLY found the name of this game and gameplay. For years, I always just remembered it as the game where you "play as raptor, collect eggs, and have a cannon on your back". We were allowed to play this back on the old iMacs in Elementary school. I remember that everyone would always rush to finish their work so they could get on the computer and play this. Then of course, there was the complaining that so and so has been playing Nanosaur for too long and it's someone else's turn. XD
FYI, the map was actually pretty big. There were five different color eggs you needed to get from different parts of the map. The red spotted ones were stegosaurus. Also, if you climb a hill with a bush and jump on the bush and double jump, you'll hit the highest point on the map which IIRC gave you max ammo on everything and max jetpack fuel.
Man this and Bugdom were some of my first ever experiences I've had with a computer period! The memories I've had in Elementary School playing these games on the computers were something else!
@@andy93570 Yeah, Cro Mag Rally. I used to use the cart editor to give every other racer the worst stats for their cars (it's the only way I thought I could win,) while I maxed out my cart. I quickly found out it was a bad idea, because I kept rocketing up the ravines on the sides of the first track.
Finally found those games of my childhood lol it's been 11 years i've played them and i remember my games where Nanosaur, Bugdom, Frog a bike game and a game with UFOs invading a farm. Bugdom the first game i've ever played, nanosaur and the UFO game were horror games for me lol i was frightened of T-REX and Red Ants in Bugdog but these games were so hard ! ^^ If someone know a game old like this that happen in a farm that would be awesoome :)
I think the ufo invasion of a farm is Otto matic. Here is a video of the company that made these game ruclips.net/video/Wk_G7Qvj1Sk/видео.html Maybe it will refresh some memories.
I remember back in elementary in 4th grade - if you finished your assignment first in class, you got to get on the class computer and play this while everyone else is still working, haha!
This is the first game I can definitively remember playing, I think I was 4 at the time. My cousins and I would hop onto our grandparents computer to try and see who could get the farthest. I have tried playing it again on the SheepShaver emulator but it comes up with an error message; (Illegal Sound Number) and then (11) before quitting. Really would love to play this game again.
i used to play this on the mac of my aunt's german husband stephan. back then this was the coolest thing about him, we didnt ger along, then as i grew older i discovered he had an amazing sense of humor (yes a german, i knooow)

Omg I remember playing this game in elementary and even some of my middle school days I use to go to my library and play after school! Good times! However I didn't understand what I was suppose to be doing so I just ran around shooting dinosaurs all day! lmao! And I've been looking for this game forever since those days, but forgot what this game was called.
Wow this game brings me back to westchester elementary school in florida where i played this in 3rd grade on old apple computers after finsihing my assignments. Im back living in my home country but this is one amazing memory from my childhood.
Double jump off that super tall one mountain or onto a pteranodon and get high enough and the game will give you max everything. You can then go on collecting eggs and nuking everything at your leisure, if you want to beat the game with relative ease. I played this game obsessively as a kid.
+C.F Cine Man, the fact that you wrote this yesterday... xD Exact same here. Just finished watching the MDK play through. We're long distance gamer twins. :D
I'm 15 now. Last time I played this was around 6-7 years ago. A couple minutes ago, I was thinking about something, then I vaguely remembered this game. I didn't remember the name of it, so I looked it up. Sure enough, I found this. This is one of those old games that you vaguely remember, but not very well. I can definitely remember other, more memorable old games like Spyro: Year of the Dragon (PlayStation 1), Bloodrayne 2 (Original Xbox, but can be downloaded and played for 10$ on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One) (you may not want to play that one if large amounts of blood and gore bother you, but if you don't mind that, look it up on RUclips right now, because it is fucking awesome), Crash Bandicoot (PS1), and so on. But *_this?_* When you remember this kind of stuff, it's the kind of thing you vaguely remember and you need to look it up to even figure out what it is you are looking for.
This brings me back to 6th grade. We had an iMac G3 in the classroom, and myself along with a few other kids would play this in our free time. This brings back memories.
I remember this game! I used to play this on the Apple iMac computers back at elementary school, until it began to crash the computer when the game stopped working after we stopped playing it for a long time. Kids today are missing out all the fun and will never know how good these computer games were made.
Played this alot at school, when we were on the computer lab. Very unique game, i have to say. That was in Leppäkorven koulu, if somebody from there is watching.
YEEESSS!! I was thinking of this game but couldn't remember the name of it. God I loved this game! I remember playing it on our old red iMac computer. This one and the bug game I played all the time!!
My favorite part was if you jumped on the high hill near the beginning, the game would give you full everything, max ammo and jetpack. It was the only way my child self could even get near the end of the game back in the day.. Such a shame these games were so niche, I'd love to see a remaster collection of all the old Pangea titles.
Gosh, this takes me back. I'm doing research on this game for a blog article and was delighted to find it's been ported to iOS and Windows as of 2021 with Pangaea's blessing. So now you don't need an old OS 9 system to run it.
What is that other game where you make chickens in a chicken factory, moving shapes that makes noise, and you moving colorful circles that move rapidly? ... URRGH! WHAT IS IT CALLED?? I NEED TO KNOW!!
I remember playing this game when I was 6 years old, the nostalgia is incredibly real right now, I am 19 years old now and never thought I would be sitting in front of my computer watching a video of it 13 years later
Ah, Nanosaur!
OH MY SWEET GOODNESS THIS GAME! Middle school computer lab and played with any and all cheats available. How did I know of these cheats? I don't remember, I was just barely internet literate then. Maybe a fellow classmate told me, maybe it was on some post-it note hanging around somewhere? No idea!
Yeah, our class used to play this during breaks. It was on a first-gen iMac, so the draw distance was always cranked way low. It gave the whole thing a springtime-fog feeling and it had more character. Seeing it with max settings shows how barren the whole world really was.
what the heck, this unlocked an extremely old memory in me i was at this children's playplace/edutainment center like 25 years ago, and it was kinda cool, but i distinctly remember seeing this game being played by some other kid on the single computer in the building, and even though i only saw it for roughly a minute, i've been thinking occasionally about that wack-ass dinosaur laser game since i was like 6 years old.
I remember we used to play this on the old school Apple computers when I was in elementary school, great times man
yes! same!
+Mike Anthony Ahhhhh good times! ;), except that i played Nanosaur 3
Me too!😄
Hey same here!!! I haven't played this game since like 2002! I loved the music in this game and it was so much fun to just run around and blow up dinosaurs.
Yeah man
Who remembers playing this in their computer lab, switching to Kid Pix to avoid being caught?
haha me
I was allowed to play this in like 1st grade hah maybe even younger
CroMag Rally and Bugdom are also favorites besides Nanosaur! :D
I remember one of my teachers actually allowing me to play this when i finished assignments early in the classroom... talk about incentive who doesn't wanna play the game with a dino wearing a jetpack?
Haha that's awesome!

I feel like I'm the only one who had this game at home
Finally found this fuckin game! Used to play this shit I'm First grade
I saw this game the exact same way you described it in my memories from elementary
Ghost Killer no. I was rich too 😂
Same and if I asked anyone if they had heard of a game like this they just looked at me funny. XD I am so happy to know the name again. :)
This game LITERALLY is my childhood... The memories!
Same
You know the music for this game is actually surprisingly good
Wow I never noticed how groovy it was. Your comment made me take a second to appreciate the bop! Lol thanks
lol!
reminds me of a band called ozric tentacles
Makes me think of Ethiopia by Marcus Miller.
Starting to wonder if this game got me into making music, all those years ago
FYI, the map was actually pretty big. There were five different color eggs you needed to get from different parts of the map. The red spotted ones were stegosaurus. Also, if you climb a hill with a bush and jump on the bush and double jump, you'll hit the highest point on the map which IIRC gave you max ammo on everything and max jetpack fuel.
Yes it did! That was so cool
YES! I feel like that was my objective every time I played that game. In my 6 year old brain lmao
playing this game in middle school in 2001 ... childhood memories.
Same
Elementary for me we used to play this when the teacher had said we could have freetime
YO WTF THIS BROUGHT HELLA MEMORIES THAT I FORGOT EXISTED-

Was wondering who was gonna mention that golden artifact. What a game man we had it good 😅
man i just remembered playing this when i was like 4 or 5 i'm crying it's all coming back to my mind
I used to play this on the old apple computers, along with kid pix
Kid Pix was that Macintosh drawing program right? lol I feel so old.
Thank you, my kind sire, for defeating my childhood nightmares. Those damn 3-bit T-Rexs. This is exaggerating, but I would die for you!
The memories are real. Whenever we got free time on the computers, back in primary school, I went straight to this game
Lol I thought I dreamed this game. I just remembered it was a dino that picked up eggs and had a jetpack! Interesting to see now as an adult 🙂

Thank you so much for loading this! I couldn't remember anything about this game other than "raptor with a bullet pack".
I remember back in elementary in 4th grade - if you finished your assignment first in class, you got to get on the class computer and play this while everyone else is still working, haha!

same here!
this is the most aggressively 90's game I've ever seen
This is the first game I can definitively remember playing, I think I was 4 at the time. My cousins and I would hop onto our grandparents computer to try and see who could get the farthest. I have tried playing it again on the SheepShaver emulator but it comes up with an error message; (Illegal Sound Number) and then (11) before quitting. Really would love to play this game again.
I used to play this on my green imac g3. i loved it but was scared of it too...
Nice
20 something years later and I still find the menus and music terrifyingly uncomfortable
I definitely remember playing something like this on the computers at school when I was 7 years old
I use to play this game as a child all the time and loved it even though I never beat it.
after years of searching, i finally found the game i played 17 years ago
This was the first game I ever played.. 13 years ago
I played this in the 90's
i played this 19 ½ years ago lol i just remembered about it recently
Me too
Same dude !!!
Great times
You can ride the pterodactyl and once you get high enough you get max ammo and jetpack
Daniel Donahue I remember finding that hahah
It also worked with a climbable mountain when you did the Double jump.
The mountain in 1:46
Yeah, I loved that shit!
This music still slaps 20+ years later
Used to play in the computer lab in middle school. We'd switch between this and Sim City 2000.
If you jump off of the ledge, your ammo goes to 999, and you get another blue shield.
Cameron Ely And your jet fuel and health go to full.
Yes that too!
I found out about that long ago. Good times.
I would have blown kids minds with that. We had no idea at the time
i used to play this on the mac of my aunt's german husband stephan. back then this was the coolest thing about him, we didnt ger along, then as i grew older i discovered he had an amazing sense of humor (yes a german, i knooow)

Nostalgia, I used to play this in pre school
Bro the memories playing this as a kid
Oh man, that splash screen music just took me back..
I remember playing the shit outta this in my primary on that see through mac. In my head it looked absolutely stunning. So many memories
I remember playing this game on my humongous mac computer though I always called it, 'the dinasaur game'.
I got the Extreme version for my iMac G3 at home. Was excited because I was able to play Nanosaur at home too.😀😀
Omg I remember playing this game in elementary and even some of my middle school days I use to go to my library and play after school! Good times! I’m 12 years old again. Thanks for this man 🙏🏼
Thanks for posting this, it was a good chunk of my childhood. Nostalgic sounds. PC games when internet was still dial up or at least very slow.
Double jump off that super tall one mountain or onto a pteranodon and get high enough and the game will give you max everything. You can then go on collecting eggs and nuking everything at your leisure, if you want to beat the game with relative ease. I played this game obsessively as a kid.
First game I ever played along with "MDK" on my mom's old macintosh computer. This blew me away with nostalgia
+C.F Cine Man, the fact that you wrote this yesterday... xD
Exact same here. Just finished watching the MDK play through. We're long distance gamer twins. :D
I managed to beat this in elementary school. It took me a few weeks of going to the library during "reading" time. It seems many share this memory.
Fighting over that one computer that had Nanosaur installed
Omg. The nostalgia. This game was the shit when i was in elementary school
Played this in Elementary School, good times man...good times...

I played this game as a little kid on my parents' Mac.
Takes me way back.
Is there anyone here who played "cromag rally?"
Yeeeeeah buddy!
THAT WAS THE OTHER GAME!!! Caveman driving! I sucked at that too, but loved it.

it took me 15 year to find this game my childhood game 😭
This brought back so many memories
This game has to be one of my all time favorites. I'm half tempted to go find an old OS9 computer to run this on. XD
Do it! I have it on one of my 13 iMac G3s! :-D
+Jonathan Oberg Now on 2 of 14. :-P
I remember in elementary school we had a few computers, all the mac computers had Nanosaur, and all the windows computers had Doom, it was awesome.
You can easily run OS9 in an emulator on a modern computer...
You Can run it on today's computers

i remmber playing this and finding the secret at the top of the small mountain. I was so happy. My childhood was awesome.
Those dinosaurs (the ones that jump on you) keep scaring the crap outta me when I was 8 in second grade! I hate them! 😦
God this was my nightmare when I was 11 it scared the crap out of me. Then I would switch to Bugdom and I felt better.
Nostalgia overload
This was a great game on the old Mac's when they hit the schools. Everyone played this.. This and some sort of Paint game were the popular ones.
I remember this game being really hard and ghe graphics very realistic
Oh my gosh I remember playing this on my Grandpa’s computer!! That’s wild!
God, the music for this game back in the day was just... *Chefs kiss
Shout out to the og's discovering this game in their schools computer lab. RIP miniclip
Whoa i remember playing this and tamale loco in school all the time as kid the good old days.
my kid life revolved around Sonic and Nanosaur
I am so glad i found this, Nanosaur was the first game I ever played over 20 years ago.
F12 key sure came in handy

Oh man, this brings back memories... I also remember this game being 100x better when I was a kid.
Back of the computer lab? Anyone?
