@@DayByDayVlogs It really has not been that long since the first horses you got. Also if you recall, you sold Finn because you could not handle him. Storm, who knows why he’s not being ridden. Took a year for Gabby to get tired of him because he’s not a professional jumper
Too many riders and their horses in that small ring… At approximately 6:15 and then again at approximately 7:00 he is so relaxed and rounded. Also probably the best riding I’ve seen from her. Just remember, thumbs up, keep a straight line from the bit to your elbow, she needs to work on keeping her hands further apart as well, keep the horse in front of your leg
Gabby needs to put her foot in the stirrup more on her ball on her foot. I actually saw in a video (I'll try to find it and send it to you) if your foot that goes on the ball of the stirrup it will make your ankle in a natural downward position. Looking at this video. Hunter judges like correct equitation.
The horse improved because Gabby's rising trot was more biomechanicaly correct as the lesson went on. She needs to listen to the horse and realise the horse is rewarding her. Work out what was different and change to that.
Last comment I promise lol…. That horse KNOWS what to do… from rounding out ON HIS OWN, to his jumping. He’s just waiting on her to catch up to him. I would’ve LOVED to have had that horse in my lesson barn a few years ago. And yes, I was an instructor for novice riders. Loved it… miss it terribly.
He started off very stiff in the neck so it was nice to see him softening and relaxing a bit later in the ride! It definitely takes time to get used to a new horse but I think Gabby suits him a lot! Can't wait to see more of Nash. He's adorable!
They looked great together! Framing beautifully for her. They did really well to say this was their first time getting to know eachother! I hope to see more of this little guy!
Nash is beautiful. Lily is a good lesson horse but I feel as if Nash is much showier. He would certainly get attention in the show ring with his coloring. I especially love his face. He has wonderful eyes. I hope we get to see Gabby work with him some more.
Oh! When he went long and low it was BEAUTIFUL!!! Let him do that all the time, let’s him get softer in the mouth & round his back and once THOSE things become regular, y’all can do all sorts of things.
Working long and low is so good for the horses back! 👍 if you’re schooling a horse that is a bit more reluctant to go on the bit, it’s a good exercise to switch things up and allow them to stretch and get the confidence instead. Mix it with plenty of transitions and lateral shapes and you’ve got yourself a good basic schooling session! I think he could do with being pushed more forward, especially in the warmup - he has a habit of trying to sit behind the leg when he’s collected up. But during the glimpses of him working over his back and onto the contact, he looks really good. If Gabby is able to ride him often and get used to him, I think they would look really good together!!
Good job RIDERSS..GABBY NICE JOB..there is beautiful horse your on..., chino are good team..but there is a near perfect horse in your future...keep learning and beingg strong..prayers
He’s Buckskin, Dun horses have a dorsal stripe from withers to base of tail. If he were that buckskin color with a dorsal stripe he would be Dunskin, and palomino with a dorsal stripe is Dunalino.
He's a buckskin duns will have a dun stripe down there back , beautiful nice mover ! Is it a new horse for her to ride or did you guys buy him ? Lol just wondering cause when you said first ride I was like you didn't try him before buying ? Lol 💙
Can we have more videos with Sophie having lessons? Maybe videos of Sophie trying out different horses for sale? I’d like to see Sophie excel and maybe find where she falls in as an equestrian. Maybe it’s not jumping? I feel like she would excel well in dressage or rail classes! Western or English!
They look like they could be really great together. Is Brandan wanting him in the lesson program, or is he for sale? Fingers crossed for sale for you guys! Lol
It’s awesome to see when a horse and rider click what the horse will do for you. Gabby is a relaxed /soft rider and nash melted into her style of riding beautifully 😊. We have a nash too. He’s a full Appaloosa, with such a good brain. We call him Nash potato lol🤣
Good Evening Laura Sam Gabby Sophie. I love Nash he is so cute Laura. He reminds me a little of Grayson. And Sophie needs to see him too. If gets back riding with Brandon again. And maybe Brandon would her him too. I think he would be cute 🐎🐴 for Sophie too. All my 💕🥰❤️💖😘💘 to all.
Buckskin is caused by the cream gene while Dun is caused by the Dun factor. Dun factor can go on any coat for ex a black horse with the Dun factor would end up being grulla or black dun
You guys go thru horses at a wicked rate!
I think it's just a new lesson horse?
@@kristiwetsel9531 I hope they’re not the instructors 🙄
You think so? The girls have only ever grown out of one horse each because we got them when they were young

He doesn’t look completely sound going through corners. He is definitely educated though and gabby should try to learn whatever she can on him
She really likes riding him!

Ya definitely! I notice a huge difference when my foot is where it's supposed to be

He started off looking like he was expecting to get chucked in the mouth. When he found he had a more sympathetic rider on him he relaxed.
Thanks
That horse is very honest
OOoo I saw a picture of this guy jumping a giant oxer on Facebook! Hes extremely talented that's for sure!
I swear it seems as if every time I see a video from y’all, it’s about getting a new horse 🤦🏻♀️
Unless it’s a lesson horse at another barn?
They looked great together! Framing beautifully for her. They did really well to say this was their first time getting to know eachother! I hope to see more of this little guy!

Not every horse is lily every horse has there own personality and separate skills
Gabby seems to like the new ride. They looked good together.
😊👍
Not every horse will turn into Lily
Definitely!

Ya!!!!once he warmed up he really relaxed!
That looked like a strong ride from start to finish, especially over the small course that you guys did. The two of you looked well paired.

Id take Nash hope with me. Ive got suuuuch a soft spot for Buckskins and omfg he is just so cute.

Thanks Mel! You always explain things so well!

Why is she standing when cantering
You mean light seat?
@@DayByDayVlogs yea but it doesn’t need to be happening when ever she cantering. It only helpful after a jump
As handsome as grey Finn was Nash looks like such a smooth ride

he looks like a buckskin :)

Nash is so pretty! Gabby and him looked good together. I always loved riding a new horse, and getting to do new things and be on a different horse.
I get a really good feeling about Nash and Gabby!
Your barn have some lovely horses.

Dun & buckskin is the same thing, that's his colour
It’s not a dun has the stripe down it’s and while the buckskin doesn’t.
Buckskin is caused by the cream gene while Dun is caused by the Dun factor. Dun factor can go on any coat for ex a black horse with the Dun factor would end up being grulla or black dun
Not the same at all, similar yes but not the same
They are absolutely not the same thing, hence the different names.
Was the chestnut Chance? Kinda looks like him.
The 2 horses in there with her was watcha and Lily
