      It really has not been that long since the first horses you got. Also if you recall, you sold Finn because you could not handle him. Storm, who knows why he’s not being ridden. Took a year for Gabby to get tired of him because he’s not a professional jumper

    Too many riders and their horses in that small ring…
    At approximately 6:15 and then again at approximately 7:00 he is so relaxed and rounded. Also probably the best riding I’ve seen from her. Just remember, thumbs up, keep a straight line from the bit to your elbow, she needs to work on keeping her hands further apart as well, keep the horse in front of your leg

  • @thatponyrider2515
    @thatponyrider2515 Год назад +8

    He doesn’t look completely sound going through corners. He is definitely educated though and gabby should try to learn whatever she can on him

    Gabby needs to put her foot in the stirrup more on her ball on her foot. I actually saw in a video (I'll try to find it and send it to you) if your foot that goes on the ball of the stirrup it will make your ankle in a natural downward position. Looking at this video. Hunter judges like correct equitation.

    • @DayByDayVlogs
      @DayByDayVlogs  Год назад +2

      Ya definitely! I notice a huge difference when my foot is where it's supposed to be

  • @ktgequestrian4475
    @ktgequestrian4475 Год назад +6

    The horse improved because Gabby's rising trot was more biomechanicaly correct as the lesson went on. She needs to listen to the horse and realise the horse is rewarding her. Work out what was different and change to that.

  • @tinahall2512
    @tinahall2512 Год назад +2

    Last comment I promise lol…. That horse KNOWS what to do… from rounding out ON HIS OWN, to his jumping. He’s just waiting on her to catch up to him. I would’ve LOVED to have had that horse in my lesson barn a few years ago. And yes, I was an instructor for novice riders. Loved it… miss it terribly.

  • @mintychinno

    He started off very stiff in the neck so it was nice to see him softening and relaxing a bit later in the ride! It definitely takes time to get used to a new horse but I think Gabby suits him a lot! Can't wait to see more of Nash. He's adorable!

    • @shelaghhall5900

    Nash is beautiful. Lily is a good lesson horse but I feel as if Nash is much showier. He would certainly get attention in the show ring with his coloring. I especially love his face. He has wonderful eyes. I hope we get to see Gabby work with him some more.

  • @leahheapp
    @leahheapp Год назад +5

    Working long and low is so good for the horses back! 👍 if you’re schooling a horse that is a bit more reluctant to go on the bit, it’s a good exercise to switch things up and allow them to stretch and get the confidence instead. Mix it with plenty of transitions and lateral shapes and you’ve got yourself a good basic schooling session! I think he could do with being pushed more forward, especially in the warmup - he has a habit of trying to sit behind the leg when he’s collected up. But during the glimpses of him working over his back and onto the contact, he looks really good. If Gabby is able to ride him often and get used to him, I think they would look really good together!!

      Buckskin is caused by the cream gene while Dun is caused by the Dun factor. Dun factor can go on any coat for ex a black horse with the Dun factor would end up being grulla or black dun
