Lol that shit went so slow you wouldn't even show it without speeding up the footage
10 miles an hour
+Minecraft Chapters i can go faster then this board 5km/h
You do realize 5km is like 3 miles right? That's slower than regular walking.
It takes some practice, but it can go about 10mph
Nice bro. I see this more of a "phase one" kinda thing, I still like this of course
***** tru dat
So why not adding a second one to the other wheel and adding approx. 1/3 of speed and power? If you mount them onto the board and make yourself a remote trigger..... and couple the trigger and two drills by radio instead of wires... :D
What is that tube that is attached to the wheel and drill that spins the wheel called
How to brake?
Your videos are the only "awesome amazing easy at home diy videos" that are actually inventive and worth pursuing imo! Basically anyone could totally whip this up before lunch and have an awesome time any day of the week.
Awesome! Looks like you don't need the tree bike anymore... =)))
hahaha that tree bike was really ugly but funny
Set the video speed to 0,5 to see how fast it actually is xD
😂
More like 0.25 :D
true
this comment makes no sense, the last shot is not accelerated, you can clearly see that
That's not exactly what I was thinking of.
Same, but still cool nonetheless, right?
Nope.
I'm speechless what a great idea beautifully done really accurate
Thanks =)
Inspire To Make how long does the battery last per mile?
Inspire To Make
OOOOH YES. I was Just watching Casey Neistat and I was like, I need that electric longboard. And then I hear 'BEEB' THE notification for this video. Awesome.
and now that you have watched it?
+Job de Bob YESSs!!! Notifications are the best!!!!
+Inspire To Make i was playing clash royale and I immediately leave the match and lose 32 trophies for u man! Also when r u going to make the giveaway video for the throwing stars.
Who?
Crispy Bacon casey neistat? hes a famous youtuber
Damn it looks like a guy taking his skateboard for a walk😂
Nice tutorial! Does it freewheel when you let off the trigger or does it come to a sudden stop? The folks over at Kranx sell a pretty sweet setup like this that uses a sprag gear to fix the freewheel issue (spendy though). I'm trying to use a ratchet adapter to fix the freewheel issue, but I don't know that that will be a good long term solution. Worried it will destroy the ratchet adapter after long continuous use.
I would imagine the cordless DeWalt hammer drill would give you more speed.
I am currently make one of these. I have the hex gear mounted to the wheel and at this point I am wondering, if you stop the drill too quickly wont the momentum of the board/you put a ton of strain on the drill causing the clutch to break? Has this been a problem for you at all or do the multiple stages of connectors kind of dampen out the affect?
+Ian Morgan I set up the clutch on a light position, like 2-5.
Interesting, the clutch on my proposed drill will only allow for slipping when the motor is active. I guess for now I will just have to be careful when slowing down. Thanks for the input!
Dude you're awesome. I love videos and concepts. Keep rolling. Good Luck :)
dewalt.. you have a call.. make electric skateboards.. you have the motors electronic and 20v 100w removable batt.. it will be a great product.
We're flattered that someone has tried to build our product. Not bad; it looks similar to some of our original prototypes. Check out the original here: kranx.ca Our patent pending PowerStik has some essential elements not seen on this build like a built-in freewheel in the drive wheel so you don't get shot off you board when the drill's rotational drive brake kicks in when you let go of the trigger. Plus you won't easily brake our flexible shaft whereas the one shown is one we tried and will last around 5 miles likely. Cheers, Tony Ward, KRANX PowerStik.
So awesome, as always! Thanks for the great videos and sweet music selection
Good Video
what is the Run time ???????????
I have a Enertion K1 dual drive kit going to use 2 20v Dewalt battery 5.0 am/hr to power it up
Sweet skateboard mod! I actually just Made something like this for my longboard and it's exactly like this haha. I was wondering what do you do if you pull of the trigger quickly on your longboard? Because when I let go quickly I fly off the board because the elbow won't let the wheels spin so I fly off it. Do you have the same problem?
+The Russian Woodworker I have the same problem :))) this video is just a proof of concept :))
it is the friction brake in the drill that stops you rapidly. you need to place a one way bearing between the elbow and the wheel
Human creativity is AWESOME
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Hahaha, you're having too much fun on that. Super neat :)
Love the creativity, as someone who has an electric skateboard, how fast can it go and how does it brake?
Those drills have a built in brake, so when he lets go of the trigger it will stop the chuck. He would have to let off the drill switch in a controller manner or it'll get ugly.
That's great!
How long does the batter last at full speed flat ground. Or what's average the hang of a battery.
love the simplicity of this! Would be keen to see it with a drill on each front wheel 😄
+Elbow Grease one drill is enough to power it :)
+Inspire To Make Ahh, I suppose it can only go as fast as its slowest power source! Haha, very cool video btw man 😊
or use bigger dirt wheels ;)
i want to try to make it, i want to ask what is the name of drill hose like in video? because I ask at every iron shop does not sell drill hose and iron that connects to the wheel.
How fast does it move? Using a drill to power it up is pretty cool. I like it
The speed formula for this will be - Drill RPM * 3.14 * wheel diameter
nice video! maybe you could do another video on puting into the board so that it doesn't look so funny
Your videos are so satisfying
Thanks =)
Lol Im good. I dont want to look like a weirdo holding a power drill around the park going 4mph
I want to build an electric skbrd that can go at least 35 mph. Which motor do I buy to achieve that?
Why have I not discovered this channel before? Holy shit! The music choice and style of editing is 10/10!
YES. Nice result on this!!!
good lord, I literally had the exact idea a few days ago! I was just brainstorming how to connect the flexshaft to the wheel. Thanks for figuring it out!
is there a reason you didnt use longer Titan Flexible Extension Bit Holder? you seemed to be crouching a bit
Cool idea. Nice job!
I really loved this! Keep up the great work you are doing here! I for sure will subscribe to your channel! 🤗
Thanks!!!
That is awesome!! When you get to where you're going you can fix stuff with your drill. Great videos!!
You are GENIUS~!!!!!!!!!
We're flattered that someone has tried to build our product. Not bad; it looks similar to some of our original prototypes. This is amazing! I'm definitely gonna try and give this one a go.
could you try the same thing with a wireless angle grinder
Grandísimo proyecto! Me encanta 👍👍
I have to say, hell of an idea!
it is good idea but i don t now, how is reaction if you turn off your aku drill. Because my aku drill have brake. Please answer me . THY
this video is just an experiment. the drill has a clutch. if you put it on a number instead of drilling option. it will make a raddling noise insted of fast stop.
How are those light effects called ať the beginning of the video? Thanks
Is it okay if I use a 18v drill instead of a 20v? It would still be the same brand.
That's an odd question to ask.
As long as the same bits fit in it (which they do) the only thing that would differ is the power output.
If a car has a 180 HP engine instead of a 200HP engine does it still drive?
Realy Nice work
seems slow. is that drill running full speed with power reserves left?
What camera and lens do you use? And how did you film 2:10-2:20?
DJI OSMO camera
Killer idea. Gotta question/idea. i have a 24v lith battery and an old 18v drill. My thought is to mount (2) 3v lights to the deck. A) to draw the excess power of the battery and prevent drill from overheating & B) Headlights for night riding! Mind you i know just enough to get me in trouble in life. Think it'll work?
Good question... I have no idea ))) It might just work )
No! The led's will draw about 6v in the right config but they use so little current that the drill will not work. Best way is just connect that battery direct but be careful u dont overload the drill ie dont let it get too hot. I give no warranty to the survival of the drill or battery so dont use expensive stuff
Not the usual idea but looks well thought through nice one dude
Tiene frenada regenerativa el cacharro este?
Nice video I actually want to do that now maybe a random summer project.
well check hes links on how mutch it would be :p
ok bro
At 0:41 I checked my text massages 😂
I was just thinking, when is will Inspire To Make put out a new video? Awesome!
I am having trouble pulling the wire brush apart any ideas
How long did it take to take all the wire off the wire brush? It's taking me forever!
This is F'ing amazing! Great idea, creative solution. So awesome
oque vc usou para conectar no long bord?
Awesome man! I was just about to start on the exact same project! Excellent idea
Very good. Very good.
Really cool!
This is the best idea ever! You can take it all apart whenever you want to and you can buy lots of cheap replaceable batteries
What kind of range do you get? In miles please
Nice... but does it sound like a moped being revved at 20000 rpm?
What's the part he put on the wheel to connect it to the drill
Awesome job!
Thank Inspire To Make that was so helpful keep the good ideas up.
Muito bom, um dos melhores canais do YT
How long is the battery of this particular drill able to power the board?
around 20-30 minutes of continuous riding
Nice! Awesome idea btw ;)
This is awesome!
I've literally never laughed so hard. I'm building one next week. Also go jays! This is the best video I've seen in ages.
Go Jays!!! =)
Very good thinking.
maaan this is awesome, i love all your vids they're really inspiring to make hahaha, your work is awesome and the music too, keep it growing!!!
can't you just put the screwdrivers under the board and support with some parts to make it steady and connect it to the wheels with some gear and tank tracks things and take like a strong rope/wire and put it around the screwdrivers trigger so that you can pull it.
What is the metal coloum he put in the wheel.
Brilliant!
Does this one have regenerative breaking?
Oh my god, I have to build it... super fun!
Nice work man! Who needs to buy a Boosted Board anyway ;)
sick! just got a power drill for Christmas lol
Lol pretty terrible of a concoction but I love that you made it, that's something to be proud of so kudos to you! Keep making.
Just proof of concept )
if you don't mind me asking, what editing application do you use. BTW I looooove your videos I've been a subscriber for 2 years now, so glad ! thanks
+Kyle Leggott thanks Kyle, I'm using adobe premiere pro for editing
ahahaha awesome men!! much better than those diy brushless boards
Awesome video man! This is really creative! :D
No doubt ur handy with the tool :) 👍🏼good stuff
Thats so slick!
This is awesome! Great idea man!
nice idea
good concept
Awesome work!
how is a power tool powering the board?
What is that tube thing attached to the wheel and drill that makes it spin called?!?
+dan McCormick check out the video description, it's all there.
Very cool!
Thats so creative
Can I get some specs/product info on the 90 degree angle adapter used at the wheel hub?
Info in the description
my bad, didn't see the more button
that is really clever
you're a beautiful person. thank you. i'm going to take this and modify the crap out of it.
hahah this is greattt mannn awesome video! good stuff!
cant u like put a battery on the skateboard (screwdriver battery or something) and connect it to the "hose" and then have a remote controll in your hand? Looks so stupid holding a screwdriver...
Ummmm So what happens when you take your finger of the drills trigger or was that not thought of....
THE TRIGGER LETS YOU CONTROL THE SPEED M8.
Alex Chatfield The drill keeps spinning from the inertia of the board, and the board rolls until all the inertia is spent. Does that make sense dear?
Drills have a mechanism which stops them from spinning due to inertia when you let go of the trigger
Exactly Dat they have a locking mechanism so don't tell me about inertia if you don't even know how to use a fucking drill
A Troll Named Rod Right. Drill. Jump off lmao.
This made me laugh so hard Im still giggling you funny dude great Idea poor execution
Its like one of those bad movies that you have to finish to see the ending lol....
Keep up your work I guess.
