More episodes like this showing basic coin, card, slights please. Most of the people that have been watching your channel for a while are ready to move to more complex techniques like this that are basic, but really open the doors for some awesome tricks. Just my opinion. Great episode.
my mistake? well when i was going to perform the final act were you make the coin seemingly disappear, i pretended to swallow it just out of impulse, it only occoured to me after id swallowed that i actually had the coin in my hand and had literally swallowed the coin, you dont know constipation until you try passing a australian 50 cent
When ever i preform any magic tricks they go perfectly well and everyone is amazed, but for some strange reason when ever i show them to my dad they fail miserably and im left there with nothing to do...
After watching this hundreds of times and practicing forever (a minute) I decided to show my sister. After fumbling through the trick I threw the coin on her bed and she picked it up and it shocked her. She thinks the first part was just a way to build up static charge and has been trying to duplicate it
True fan... Brian/ Scam School, you are amazing! You are the reason I started magic! It's been tough, but I haven't given up... I will never give up. Keep up the good work! And to all the beginner magicians, don't ever give up!
You know Brian, I was honestly wowed by this trick. I know this one is simple, but I honestly can say it's probably my favorite. Thank you so much for introducing these absolutely amazing tricks to us and please, please keep up the work! :)
I like the "ditch" you taught, it works really good. I would usually get away by staring closer to my hand where the coin was supposed to be in but it's always good to mix it up. Thanks Shwood! Oh and I'm pretty much a true fan.
I just tried this in front of some people, and even though I didn't get any practice in (I know, shame on me, but I offered it on a limb), it still worked! :)
Awesome I have watched all the other episodes of Scam School. You are a clever man Brian, hope you can keep posting. I have perfected all of your tricks
It's 3:37 in the morning, and I think I got this trick down, but I'll probably need some more practice haha. I can't wait to show this to all my friends and blow their minds.
Love this kind of tutorial. Didn't have any change in my pocket but did have a box of old coins I picked up at a local coin shop, gotta say that a British Shilling or old 1 Pence piece is an excellent coin to practice with.
Once you master the French drop you can incorporate it into so many different tricks as many coin vanishes use it. Another variation is to reach in a pocket for your "magic wand" (and say that's what your reaching for) then simply drop the coin in the pocket as you grab the wand. Another is changing a coin to a different coin. It takes a little practice to do it without them touching and making noise. Have a penny palmed in the top hand(the one making the grab) then perform the French drop with a quarter and make the ditch in the pocket. Open your hand and it will appear the quarter was changed to a penny.
True fan here! Thank you for showing such awesome tricks and thanks to you people started enjoying magic. Plz do keep up the good work and do also reveal it to us.
I didn't know about the "drop," so when I would do this trick for daughter when she was younger, I would use my thumb to slide the quarter between my middle and ring fingers far enough to hide it from palm view. With the quarter visible on the back side of my hand, I would just keep my palm facing forward as I held my hands up to show they were "empty." Her face would light up, and she would just be amazed. Then I would put my hands back together, relaxing the grip on the quarter to allow it to drop into my cupped hand underneath. BAMM! The quarter reappeared! I just blew a there year old's mind. It only works on little kids, or maybe really drunk adults.
Hey Brian Brushwood the trick would be better if you have a deck of cards. You have to force a card of choice and have a identical card folded up in your pocket and the make the switch in the middle of the trick. and they will be amazed. Please share this trick to the WORLD. and thanks for the videos.
Ok 1st, I did it fishing move thing eat the coin better yet get someone to give you coins to use then you can "eat it" in front of them and keep the coin. 2nd when you walk backwards you ever fall over anything cos there must have been a time where you walked into the lamp-post etc?
True fan. I have been practicing this trick since you gave out the 3 coin trick on episode 300! My students love it when I do this trick. Could you also go over how to make it reappear?
I havnt liked your facebook pages yet because i just watched the vid but i just wanna say im 16 and have been doing magic since the movie Now You See Me came out, so i keep getting the tricks you share right off the bat and get good feed back.
"True fan here" not just for liking scam school on facebook but i even got myself the scam school book for christmas. wow that sounded pretentious. But i still love Scam School
This is s great one. I can call wait till try it out on students. Thanks Brian for all your videos. Drivers my wife crazy watching all that magic stuff.
Hey true fan here ill get u on fb in a min. What i do with this trick is once ive got rid of the coin i say that ill wrap it in paper and burn it in order to make it dissapear, i use just left over flash paper for this.
My biggest mistake is that I keep forgetting to not use actual magic to vanish the coin. I'm an entertainer, much like yourself, but being a Wizard I pretty much just use magic for my act. That can be exhausting, especially during roaming gigs that last a few hours. Sometimes I even run out of magic points entirely and have to resort to storytelling and other forms of merrymaking. This move looks like a great way to save some energy during my "Teleport Everyone's Quarters Into the Piggy Bank at My House" routine, but I've been doing that routine for about 106 years, so I'm REALLY used to doing it one way and keep forgetting to just drop the quarter instead of teleporting it to my house. I'm sure I'll get it eventually. By the way, I think I'm a True Fan now. That's what happens when I like your Facebook, right?
i hv recently started watching ur show. its amazing. mostly magic tricks. nw i hv a cool repo in my group as a trickster.... thanx a lot man.... thnx a lot.....
Suggest removing wedding bands. Coin sound against metal is an instant fail lol. Maybe switch the band to the other hand. People might focus on the ring being on the non traditional hand while "holding" said coin. Thoughts?
Hold the coin towards the tips of your fingers so it's less likely to hit the ring. But practice with and without to learn which is safer, easier, and more comfortable.
Big fan of the french drop, wish there was a better way of getting it into your pocket though. Anyone have suggestions? The whole "look what an odd coin we have here" feels a little clunky to me.
Tried to trick my mom before the video even ended. It went well. Her eyes followed the wrong hand, it was priceless. Until, like an idiot I didn't turn and put the coin in my pocket. I did it so obviously, I bet I almost even looked at it.
I am your biggest fan I watch your new videos as soon as I can even if I stay up till 1:00 and get up at 5:00 if I did wake up at 5 like what happens sometimes I watch more videos on your magical beer ☺
true fan! awsumm... i already knew this one, but the first few times i did this trick i also did the moves after the french drop wrong xD. I faced with my body the wrong way. And there was a time when i forgot to to the french drop XD. and there i was with a coin in my hand after i said it was gone. Awesome vid brian! Keep it up
loved this video this is what got me into magic and I always like to see improvement to a effect thank you scam school going to be in the favorites for me thank you again

My coin vanishing skills are very good, i'm broke every 2nd week of the month.
I see what you did there.
0:53 loled at the "dork" that flashes for half a second XD
my mistake? well when i was going to perform the final act were you make the coin seemingly disappear, i pretended to swallow it just out of impulse, it only occoured to me after id swallowed that i actually had the coin in my hand and had literally swallowed the coin, you dont know constipation until you try passing a australian 50 cent
That must've been a shit experience....
50c coins are bloody massive
you're actually one of the best schools you can imagine ;) following you already for +3 years, i think. You and your team are heroes!
0:54 pause and it says dork on brian!
That’s hilarious.. Thank you for pointing that out
It does!
Added to favourites! One of the best tricks ever, and it can be done with almost anytching, not only with coins.
When ever i preform any magic tricks they go perfectly well and everyone is amazed, but for some strange reason when ever i show them to my dad they fail miserably and im left there with nothing to do...
Smellyiggy i
Loving scam school, as a professional magician I still love to see all the tricks and scams and your utter enthusiasm for it all. True fan right here.
you, sir, just made my day. Thanks, man.
After watching this hundreds of times and practicing forever (a minute) I decided to show my sister. After fumbling through the trick I threw the coin on her bed and she picked it up and it shocked her. She thinks the first part was just a way to build up static charge and has been trying to duplicate it
NICE!!

I didn't know you still reply to comments on here. You have singlehandedly made me the life of every party I go to XD
Walked in to my bro's room to try this, where all he could say was "That's my quarter!"
Awesome I have watched all the other episodes of Scam School. You are a clever man Brian, hope you can keep posting. I have perfected all of your tricks
True fan here. *holds out hand* Don't leave me hanging Shwood.
I took 2 identical coins and planted one in my friends hoodie, then I did the trick
Put one in fruit or something it works great
It's 3:37 in the morning, and I think I got this trick down, but I'll probably need some more practice haha. I can't wait to show this to all my friends and blow their minds.
This is too awesome! Thanks for this! And this channel reminds me how much I miss Austin lol
Love this kind of tutorial. Didn't have any change in my pocket but did have a box of old coins I picked up at a local coin shop, gotta say that a British Shilling or old 1 Pence piece is an excellent coin to practice with.
G thanks for the tip 😉
i tried this, i did really well, except for the fact that when i dropped it, it diddent land in my pocket..
i still dont know where it is
True fan here...since the spiky days. =)
+Jamie Newton nice!
+Scam School I miss the spiky hair I thought it was a very cool hair style! T.T
+Alora Cannon You're the only one. ( ̄﹏ ̄)
Titus Hickman a little late to the show, and to each their own.
haha ''Dork'' 0:54
haha the outtake was hilarious! Great tip Brian! One of the simplest things in magic by design (slight of hand), but one of the hardest to pull off.
Once you master the French drop you can incorporate it into so many different tricks as many coin vanishes use it. True fan here. Looking forward to using more of these tricks at the bars this year.
True fan here :) Great demonstration on such a simple trick. Thanks Brian
As with great face to face tricks, simple (but great) audience eye miss direction. I like this one because it happens so fast.
If you watch closely at 00:52 when Brian introduces everyone and it shows everyone's name, it says "DORK" for Brian.
How does this not have a billion views?!?!? What's whrong with people ?
True fan here! Thank you for showing such awesome tricks and thanks to you people started enjoying magic. Plz do keep up the good work and do also reveal it to us.
that moment of panic when you blow your shot because your back pocket is to tight to drop the coin into
in that case you drop it to the ground, have it slide down your leg on the way down so it doesnt make as loud of a noise when it lands.
The french drop. My favorite improv trick for kids. Make that coin disappear and then reappear behind their ear for the best kid smiles and reactions.
I didn't know about the "drop," so when I would do this trick for daughter when she was younger, I would use my thumb to slide the quarter between my middle and ring fingers far enough to hide it from palm view. i was going to do this trick for my little sister and when i went to do the "Yoink" i forgot i was wearing gym shorts and did'
t have back pockets
+Tyler Penrod haha... Whoops!
i did pretty much the same thing
Scam School lol ur right!
I did the trick to some kids at my school, and they freaked out! It was awesome.
Hey Brian Brushwood the trick would be better if you have a deck of cards. Your videos are great! I like practicing this moves with both hands, idk why, i think its fun. Would you say that helps?
Thanks Shwood. This was a great breakdown of the actual magic skills.
Glad you liked it!
This trick is awesome to combo with a set-up coin hidden somewhere around the place (like under a cup or something) !
true fan here. I just wanted to say thanks Mr schwood
Brian i just love your tricks and that special card deck you have with you all the time
True fan here, you short little man.

Fantastic! Thanks, man!
I tried this vanishing coin trick and ended up summoning Satan. F me, right?
Daniel Bundrick just don't challenge him to a rock-off: ruclips.net/video/vOBKxUT9Da4/видео.html
+Scam School I thought the only reason people summoned Satan, was to have a rock off with him?
That "boy band" part got me dying of laughter
Thanks Brian, my Dad taught me this trick when I was 5, but I never knew how to get rid of the "evidence."
True Fan Here!

One of the best tricks on scam school
True fan here. Ordered awesome stuff from Scam Stuff.
I've been doing this for years. Great opener
Suggest removing wedding bands. Coin sound against metal is an instant fail lol. Maybe switch the band to the other hand. People might focus on the ring being on the non traditional hand while "holding" said coin. Thoughts?
yeah, I always remove my ring when I'm performing.
Scam School I've literally watched your channel for a couple of hours. Boy I need practice. Apparently with the hand drop to turn to back pocket.
Hold the coin towards the tips of your fingers so it's less likely to hit the ring. But practice with and without to learn which is safer, easier, and more comfortable.
i was already like LOL and XD at 0:53 when it displayed 'DORK' on Brian
This comment had nothing to do with this video.
