People rightly praise Jon's sax solo as it is truly epic, and always a show highlight, but to me this always Robbie's song...that piano melody that runs through it is amazing. Just a brilliant, wonderful song...
“There’s a cold wind blowing down my old road, down the backstreets where the pines grow, as the river splits the undertow” Wow, perfect description of my little home town. What a beautiful piece of art this song is
1:15 I was sailin' down here on the wind When I met you and I fell away again Like a train in reverse down a dark road Carrying the whole load Just rattling the whole way home Have you fixed your eyes to the wind? Will you let it pull you in again on the way back in? I'm a bit run down here at the moment Let me think about it, babe Let me hold you There's a cold wind blowing down my old road Down the back streets where the pines grow As the river splits the undertows But I'd be lying to myself if I said I didn't mind Leave it hanging on the line Lost inside my head Is this the way I'll be denied, again? So I'll set my eyes to the wind But it won't be easy to leave it all again Just a bit rundown here on the sea There's just a stranger living in me As you set your eyes to the wind And you see me pull away again Haven't lost it on a friend I'm just bit run down here at the moment Yeah, I'm all alone here, living in darkness
I actually think the mix was a lot better than many live WOD gigs on here. Being able to hear the acoustic and Jon’s sax being two of the main instruments that are usually non existent
During this tour the kick drum sounds a bit like a metronome click. Highpass filter or is it the drum trigger that should blend with miked drum but here it’s the only thing we hear? But it’s nice how we hear the other instruments better 😊
I think they did need her Looks like Adam wasn’t good for singing, maybe cough or sore throat that night, on following videos he barely hit the notes he regularly sings.
Wow, getting a bit critical aren't we😂 He could have laryngitis for all I care. The best rock group in the world. Flying to Berlin next week to see them.
@@Vince1303 No, I mean The War On Drugs is one of my favorite bands and I feel sorry for Adam no bad judging on his singing. I’ve read/seen videos where he said that he’s kinda a perfectionist when performing. I feel sorry for him, I’m sure he’s not confortable on this show, but I think the crowd really appreciated the effort. I hope he’s doing better on the tour tho so you can hear how good he sings and the feelings he transmits.
My tears are not because i’m sad, my tears are because how beautiful is.
Favourite TWOD song by far just beautiful 🤩

Drums stand out in this performance too. Charlie really takes the reins from the jump. I wasn’t expecting the faster tempo but I love it!
You are absolutely right. It’s the amazing piano.
Dylan’s voice on a song that reminds me of the Bruce springsteen of the '80s. The best rock band of today
Absolutely
Why can't I add a Like every time I watch this version?
No words really are there... just stunning.
ON THA SAX-A-PHONE TA-NIIIIGHT....
This band jams like no other. Incredible talented musicians with a noble message in trying times. Worth a listen start to finish
What a joy ! And hats off to the crowd no phones !!
Maybe thats bcs they are there for the music and Not for tikfcktok
My favorite TWOD song! Truely wonderful. ❤❤
Find me another song in the history of rock music that ends with a 2-minute saxophone solo.
God, their studio albums are so freaking good but goddamn it's amazing how these songs come to life when played live. Truly special.
Agreed
The perfect song!
This band is the best driving music.Love them!!
Every day in my car, too..
Emotions....They just Flow....
there is no melancholy that resists "eyes to the wind"

GREAT Band. I saw them last weekend in concert, and they were epic.
Thank you Mustard.
The most beautiful thing.
😍😍😍😍😍💓💓💓💓💓😍😍😍😍😍
greatest band ever period
The best condiment bringing the best live vids.
Oh yeah! Definitely.
I see for the first time next month. Looking forward to hearing them. Fantastic band.
Holy shit! Been following the WoD for years but what a performance.
This is brilliant, always gaves me goosebumps and Jon Natchez is an absolute master
Like some of their stuff. Never watched them before and first impressions is there is a lot of loving themselves
What a fantastic band. Cant wait to see them on the Sydney Opera House steps this summer. Its been a dream of mine to see them
You’re in for quite the ride
Wish they'd come to other places in NZ besides Auckland
I'm going to be there on the 5th. Going to be great.
How was the show?
Incredible. Went to both shows back to back. Different sets. The back drop was incredible with a cruise ship in the background
its just one of the greatest bads in the history of music

Possibly my favourite WOD song ❤ thank you so much for uploading
MEE 3 🎉😂❤😮
The round corners really accentuated this performance. Thank you mustard!!
great straight tunes, and beautiful
From Croatia ❤️👏👏👏
Just like my day today , waiting for the winds of change on a rainy day ❤
Love the piano playing in this version!
Los amo!
Such a great song, such a great saxophone solo!!!
Essa banda está cada dia melhor, a entrada dessa menina nos teclados foi otima, parabéns
🤩
Stupenda
Great song. Reminds me of driving around Quiaios in the summer.
Thank you
Beautiful song amazing
Great mix
Amazing, fantástic, beautiful
Thank you!
Wahnsinns Band!!!!
With their unconventional looks as a rock band, like a bunch of people jamming, emits brilliance
This plays like Springsteen song, but sung by Bob Dylan.
Too fast, I prefer this song slower. Still good though tbh
I have heard 3 or 4 different versions. All are unique in their own way. All brilliant IMO.
Je préfère le rythme de l'original, un peu moins rapide. Mais le saxo est cool !
All you people loving the saxophone solo, ha. The song is completely diminished without the guitar solo. Saxophone doesn’t come close to that.
This fast-paced version is great, however it lacks the soul of the original.
Is it just me or does the drum sound a bit weird? Thanks anyway M U S T A R D!
The mix on this show was pretty subpar 😔

Great Performance but the drums are so boring
Hmm... torn on this version. Didn't really need the backup singer
I think they did need her
Looks like Adam wasn’t good for singing, maybe cough or sore throat that night, on following videos he barely hit the notes he regularly sings.
@@dissonant__ Not disagreeing there. Not his finest
