I think if prodigy was able to get in touch with the right people who were willing to give prodigy a proper shot - as in, prodigy needs someone or some record label or distribution company to make an adequate financial investment to facilitate some proper mainstream promotion, time and resources to allow for some artist development - that means some decent songwriters, producers, etc that would help Prodigy sculpt an authentic sound and vibe that suits him as a solo act... put simply - what kind of tunes are most characteristic of prodigy? - ideally, prodigy would be able to write his own tunes (and maybe he can)... in order to gain any real traction, he would need 2-3 really fresh singles. It doesn't matter exactly what sort of songs they end up being as long as they're authentic to prodigy and are well put together - whether those songs are a modern take on the more danceable soul music in the vein of James Brown, Ray Charles, or perhaps something in the direction of alternative R&B with clear pop sensibilities like the weekend, frank ocean or Zayn... Perhaps something similar to the Hip Hop/R&B tunes of the late 90s and earlier 2000s - like R Kelly, Chris Brown, B2K/Omarion, Ne-Yo... or something closer to straight up dance pop... whatever it may be ... I just hope prodigy gets this chance; he deserves it.
