      @sebastianhovenas272 Год назад +5

      Well they grow bigger, tougher, stronger and smarter the more rhey fight and win. The bigger and more fearsome the enemy, the faster they grow. So they won't grow much by just killing weak oponents. Plus if great numbers of orks believe that a particular ork is the biggest and strongest being in the galaxy then the growth will accelerate even more. Also, when an ork feels that he should be a boss then he will gain a few extra pounds of muscle in the few days before he fights his superior.
      So by fighting orks you are litterally making the survivors even bigger and stronger, as well as creating huge gusts of fungal spores from the orks that you kill, which will grow into fungal mushrooms, which creates snotlings, squigs, gretchin and eventually orks within cacoons under the ground. And once mature they will claw themsleves out from the dirt.

    My issue with all of this is that he was listed as being large prior to his megaupgrdes, but depicted as being stocky and stumpy. In old art fashion up until recently.

    Idk why ive always found it super nasty that orcs are fungus. Just wet pieces of fungus flying around when hit by a bolter. For some reason thats nastier to me than the Tyranids.

    It also probably helped that all the orks believed it would work, and the psychic energy from that made it work. God forbid some day orks believe that some random color is a “super duper color that makes weapons kill anyone no matter what with one shot” or something like that.

    One space crew met another who was repairing their ships, outside without suits.
    The newcomers asked where their suits were. After explaining the suits were to prevent death, only after that sentance did the whole crew instantly die.

    This actually makes perfect sense. It may not appear like it because it wouldn't make the art look as cool which would be the highest degree of chaos ridden heresy and against everything humanity has worked for but the orcs have a million reasons to have a random singular limb the size of a titan's that they use as an impossible superweapon and a normal rest of their body. Also knowing the orcs such limbs would probably pop on to other orcs like lego pieces no fungus cohesion required. I honestly feel like it should be pretty obvious that's exactly where the body came from and we shouldn't be surprised.

    Things orks believe, happen.
    So the doctor just had to be loud and convincing enough that it would work, getting the best parts is most of that in and of itself.
