      Yes the suspension takes a few hours to really break in. I really like the overall firmer setting for 2021 - the bike has less pitch under braking and acceleration. What a fun 250F!

    How tall are you?, I'm 5.6, would fit me? And nice video bro!👌

    • @mxengineer1
      @mxengineer1  3 года назад +1

      I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 190 lbs. Most of the latest moto bikes are relatively tall with seat heights within 20mm of each other so not a big difference. The '21 Husky FC250/350/450 have lowered suspension (10mm) so those models will feel a little lower than most. I have a buddy that is 5'6" tall and he has no issues with the seat height while riding a YZ250F. You can always get a thinner seat if needed. The YZ250F is a very fun bike so worth adapting to you if necessary!

    I’ve same one and also a 2020 250F. Prefer the 2021 after changing maps, adjust suspension, yoshi exhaust, and put bars a bit more forward as I’m 6’2 175 lbs.

    • @mxengineer1
      @mxengineer1  Год назад

      The YZ250F has really set the bar for power and suspension in the 250F class. I really like the '22 YZ250F... ruclips.net/video/MABTTJcE-8Q/видео.html
      I can't wait for the 2023 YZ450F updates to be applied to the 2024 YZ250F...lighter weight, more power, and better ergos on what is already an great machine.

    I really like your videos,very helpful,, im wondering,do you think the 250f is ok for the trails? does it have that Flame out issue(my ktm 350 did) i ride 50/50 woods track,but i always wanted to try a yz 4t,, i know the 21250fx is better in the woods but i heard they did not make any changes this year like on the 250f.

    • @mxengineer1
      @mxengineer1  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I have a KTM 350 and I would say the 21 YZ250F has less flame out tendencies than a 21 KTM 350XCF...a little better. The YZ250F has instant throttle response - very lively and the EFI can be tuned the the GYTR phone app. I think the 21 YZ250F updates will work well on the 22 YZ250FX.

    off-topic but im 60 years old with a 2001 xr200 with full-size suspension valved for me and last year it was real fun to ride.......i ended up taking it apart and rebuilding it last winter......this year it was hard to ride and felt really rigid......i havent changed weight-wise or anything...i assumed it was just age setting in....so i remember one of the youtube channels and you also that if you loosen up engine bolts and the swingarm bolt it helps and loosens up the bike......so i loosened everything up and i was back to a fun riding bike that is less brutal on my body and easier to ride........before that the bike was beating me up and id be crippled for a few days after riding.....just wanted to share that..but anyway nice new bike you have there and hope you enjoy it and bring us along as always

      @@maureenglaskin7516 The XR200 is a classic lightweight 4-stroke! Yes torque (ie clamp load) of key fasteners can effect the "feel" (more or less rigid) of the chassis. I did grease and check the swingarm and linkage bolt torques on this new YZ250F.

      Enjoy your new bike! Get the GYTR EFI mapping app on your phone and you can tune the engine character and also keep track of maintenance schedule. 2-stroke like throttle response and best off the showroom floor suspension - you are going to enjoy getting back into riding again on the 21 YZ250F! East Fork is a fun track near your area.
