Watch Ian Bishop talk about India’s pace attack, Jasprit Bumrah’s rise and the Caribbean flavour of the IPL in Part 2: ruclips.net/video/3HI-YRmzGD4/видео.html
Three of the best ending quotes of CWC Finals of all time : 1) Dhoni goes big. A magnificent strike into the crowd. India lift the world cup after 28yrs and it is an Indian captain who's been absolutely magnificent in the night of the final - RAVI SHASTRI. 2) Carlos brathwaite.. Carlos brathwaite... Remember the Name... History for the West Indies!! - IAN BISHOP. 3) 2 to win. Guptill's gonna push for 2, they've gotta go..he gotta throw, the throw's gonna be at keeper's end... They've got it! England have won the world Cup by the barest of margins, by the barest of all margins.. Absolute ecstasy for England, agony.. agony for New Zealand!!
Bishop is one of the very best Commentators ever. When all is said and done he might go down as the greatest ever. He is able to give exciting commentary when it is needed, but also give very in depth analysis as well. Some commentators can either do one or the other. They are not very exciting to listen to but Bishop's commentary makes you feel what is happening much more.
Still get goosebumps when i listen to “remember the name” ! And also his “ the dream has diminished for Carlos Braithwaite here in MANCHESTER “. No one enunciates better than Bish !!!!
Ian is the best ever analyst /commentator in the men's game after Harsha and it's not just because of how good he is on the Mike but how graceful and inclusive He is off it too Period. His contributions towards making commentary very enjoyable in the women's cricket genre is massive too.
"Has it gone ! Has it gone ! Has it gone ! Has it gone ! Its gone." This is still my favorite line from Ian Bishop during WI vs SL game where WI needed 10 to win from 2 balls and Chanderpaul hits 4 and then 6 to win the game. That was hell of a something from Ian Bishop.
Of all the horrible things going on in the world right now, the conversation between this two gives a felling of calmness and all the good things that are there in the game of cricket! I could listen to these two on an on and never get tired!
Commentary has such a great role to play in making these iconic moments of cricket, memorable for us fans. Harsha and Ian are definitely 2 of the best commentators cricket world has seen in this decade.
I haven't had the chance to watch Ian Bishop the player but certainly like Bishop the commentator. He has passion that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, like the T20 final in 2016. And He analyses things very well to make it easy for the average viewer to understand what is happening. Thank you cricbuzz for another gem! Sanjay might be competing from another channel but this is where we come first and will continue to come for the foreseeable future with harsha around!
I hold Ian Bishop in high regard. There r commentators whom i like, but Ian is someone whom i guess, i love. He has respect for every team no matter how strong or how weak that is, he has respect for each player, commentator and verily cricket itself. He is undoubtedly a great commentator and yet down to the earth guy. You can't help love this wonderful man with nice and bold voice. I always felt he had great respect for Bangladesh team. It has always been pretty evident when u see him commentating while Bangladesh is on the filed. I'll never forget him saying, " The tigers have conquered the African plains".
Bish the personality is the very opposite of what you would expect from a fast bowler. His commentary is always careful, considered, and insightful. Always a pleasure to listen to him
Not many experts would notice Ross Taylor's performancea over the years to put them in the ODI XI. Do note that Ross was living with some artifact in one of his eyes and that substantially reduced clarity of vision in one eye. He was picking the ball late till 2015 eye surgery and then hit even better form. That's Ian Bishop's excellence for you
Two nice persons talking. Respect😇 . Whoever loved Tony, Geoff and Alan Wilkins and gets nostalgia whenever hear their voice and go back to 90s . That’s Golden cricket era. This generation will feel the same nostalgia of 2000s to 2020s when Harsha and Ian calls it off. Best about these commentators are that they are neutral, statistic and realistic. Not like others having verbal diarrhea and one sided. Some time we as cricket lovers lose the nice moments in cricket because of some negative irritating and one sided talk.
A commentator curse. But Bish comment his heart out in there without any bised with agression and honesty. I love these 2 that's why I followed them on Twitter
Ian Bishop Nasser Hussain and Shastri imo are the 3 best commentators in cricket..although Shastri hasnt commentated in so so long...also David Lloyd...but for my caribbean bias...Ian is my favourite
Ian Bishop is a rare commodity in the commentary box - the best / doesn't play to the gallery / does the job / doesn't scratch the employers back - Ian is a man of GOD. Stay true my friend. GOD Bless! Hare Krishna!

seems like commentary is also hard who has to talk when their countrymen is batting or what to say like we saw in video bishop left it to harsha when sachin was retired and also in semis vs nz in 2019 dada didnt utter a single word and let the newzealander to speak because that is a iconic moment to them
Stokes had more benefit from that encounter than carlos. Carlos pulling off that miraculous victory helped stokes believe that its possible to win no matter how impossible it seems. It played a part in him playing that innings in the worldcup and the ashes.
My playing XI who can play ODI/Test/T20 across the globe. 1. Rohit Sharma 2.Kumar Sangakara (W) 3. Virat Kohli (C) 4. Steve Smith 5. ABD 6. Ross Taylor 7. Ben Stokes 8. Pat Cummins 9. Dale Steyn 10. R. Ashwin 11. Bumrah Players who played after the 2015 Worldcup
kumar sangakarra retired after 2015 wc.ashwin also became inconsistent after 2016 except for tests.Shakib should be there instead of taylor cause he is the best spinner all rounder in world.
