Just subscribed to your channel because I bought my family this same piano and as a kid my grandparents had a piano but I never learned. 50 years later I'm going to try, for rhe sake of my kiddos
Thank you so much. My daughter’s keyboard just arrived. She was so excited. We put it together instantly, but some of the keys weren’t working. The shipping box was slightly beat up as you mentioned. So, hopefully this video will resolve our issue too..I’ll check back soon. Thank you so much.
I ordered one before watching this video cuz my acoustic old piano C sharp hammer doesn’t retract 🤷🏼♀️ and then saw how your keys weren’t working after u assembled 😳🫣🤦🏼♀️mine comes Thursday and hope it all works 🙏
Hi Christine, nice to see you again. I own Yamaha DGX-660, it full weighted keyboard piano, and the sound is pretty good. But your keyboard have a beautiful design.
So glad to see you back :) I really missed your uplifting videos. Your playing is getting really good! Congrats on your upgrade but one day you have to get yourself that acoustic piano. I finally did and my poor keyboard has sat in the corner feeling very lonely and neglected ever since.
@Christine Clark Thank you for your video I have seen the Donner Piano for sale here in the UK as I haven’t played for over 20 years I seen the same Keyboard for £365 sound great so I am going to buy it .
Good to see that it was an easy fix and that you were able to get it all working. I imagine if you’re not technical at all that it could be too much to put things in to a working state yourself. But like you say it’s just something that can happen during shipping. 🤷♂️
I also recommend the M Audio Hammer 88. Its a midi controller so it doesn't have its own sound. But when u connect it to a laptop or iPad you can get really high quality instruments.
Very nice unboxing, setup and review. Keep learning. Question: Where exactly do you plug the pedal cable? At the back of the piano or somewhere else unseen?
That one flap on the packing box that kept going up and down would have stressed me out to NO END!! Just watching it made my blood pressure increase (I am talking about the box flap not anything else - get your minds OUT of the gutter!) Just my OCD peaking out.
How is the volume on the high pitch keys? I just got the DEP 20 and the last five keys volume drops off significantly. Donner listened to it via video and said it was normal. Thanks
My piano shipped the other day. Kind of nervous that they may be having technical issues. I received a welcome letter from Donner, from Amazon and they mentioned to test it out thoroughly after assembly. Hmmm, worrisome. But you seem to be happy with it right?
that looks like a beautiful machine. it's a good upgrade, you really need fully weighted keys. loved watching this vid. also congrats to hubby, i wouldnt have dared to open it 👍 oh and you do have a pianochair right?
Hi we purchased the same model piano as you but it wont go out of demo mode no matter what we try. We've read the manuel and also tried fiddling with the wires. Help. Ugh.😔
I just got mine , but I need headphones ! Do you know the size needed for an adapter to a normal size headphone. (The ones that can fit into everything like normal size headphones) and the size needed to fit into the Donnar piano ?
Can you layer different sounds on this keyboard? Say piano / strings? Also, the third A on mine has to be hit hard to produce sound. Considering trying to check that connection before sending it back. What did you have to do to get the top cover of the piano off?
I would rather go for Yamaha, Roland or Korg. I personally own a Yamaha as well as Studiologic SL Studio (which is a full weighted great midi controller piano). Don't know Donner to be honest
I think a lot of people would go for those brands if possible. I’ve not checked but I’m guessing that Donner is a more budget conscious choice vs. the top name brands. It’s nice to have a range of options available to fit more budget points and that the cost isn’t what stops people learning to play piano.
Well, I think just adding 100$ more and you will have a better keyboard, I was thinking of Roland fp-30. Although, Donner DDP-300 Piano is not bad, yet, I think it over priced for the quality that it give. That's my own opinion, I might be wrong.
The consistency in quality and reliability and customer service isnt there. At least Korg wont bail on you if their is a problem. Sure the problem she had wasn't a big deal, but, end up with a completely fried board and you can guarantee you they wont send you a new one or refund you you're money. They wont even answer my emails for the piece of junk guitar I got that came with a lose brace inside so it sounds like crap. Not a big deal, $180 and I only wanted it for camp rather then bring my Taylor. I was still interested in this piano too lol Which is funny, until i started seeing more things like this and still have not had my email returned. Its too bad too, cause I liked this donner better then korgs model a $100 more...

excited to you're back christine! I found your channel two weeks ago when I got my first keyboard, excited to put in the time and learn!
I hope you will enjoy, as I did since at least 2 months.

I think every digital piano may work as MIDI-keyboard if you connect it to computer (ipad/phone).
Welcome back, by the way, since your last video, I have begin to play piano with skoove. I like it.
Thank you for making me aware of it.
What links can I use to find more unboxing and reviews? Thanks!😊

Rocking that alberti bass in the left hand! Well done, a good piano will make a big difference in the long run
Any technical issues with it like Christine?
when are you going to film the video's in the new filming room

I love this video!!! Was really helpful, thanks 💖💖💖
You mentioned piano apps. What apps do you use and which ones do you recommend?
I’m wondering if you know how to fix a key that sticks and no sound?

My Donner DDP-300 lost it's sound. Everything else works fine. How do I get the sound back?
Great video 👍👍👍👍
How do you hook
Up the pedals? Ours aren’t working .

I agree with you!! I would never buy any digital piano from a unknown brand!!
Roland is the best in IMO!
Love Yamaha also❤️
does the piano key problem happen usually?
Good question - I'm not sure but it was very easy to fix.
Hello, I am moving and need to sale my Donner Piano in San Diego .

I'm a beginner on piano and i Love your channel 👏🏼👌🏼🎹

The Roland FP-30 is an excellent choice for a beginner.

I refuse to play anything other than fully weighted.
What's Up Next?
Either that box is huge or you are very small!
It's huge! I'm pretty average sized.
