I just ordered this piano...and this test and review really helped immensely. I happen to be a jazz player (drums) and the choices of music really helped and put a smile on my face. I pray my lovely Granddaughter will learn to play and enjoy music.....of any kind. Thanks guys!!
I was really struggling with what piano to get for m u 4 beginners and watching this video confirmed this DDP 100 Please let Donner know their generosity helped me decide as well as you. I am grateful!
Thank you for this video it is Black Friday and cyber Monday and I have wanted a keyboard for so long and I’m retired and on a fixed income so even though this is very expensive for me it’s actually a bit of money so I wanted to make sure it was well spent
Hello, Thank you for the video, I am interested in the Donner DDP 80 and I wasn't sure what the price was on the 100. I do like the look of the 80 and plan to purchase that model.
No affiliation but I love how this keyboard sounds and I later realized that it's a great midi controller, and like he said it really feels like a piano. Love how versatile this is and I learned that it has line out from this video so thanks for that. Also was wondering how did you record the line out?
Just to clarify, when in MIDI mode with a virtual piano, do the piano speakers cut off? I would like to play through my Mac with wireless headphones with no noise coming from the piano itself. Thanks.
Perhaps you can answer something for me.... I, too, have cats which is why I am looking for a digital piano that has a built-in cover. But I can't find any review that mention or show the slide-cover for the DDP-100. Does it operate smoothly? Does the music stand stay in the upright position at all times, or can it be laid back? If so, any chance it will become loose and fall back unintentionally? Where are the headphone jacks located on this piano? Will the furniture stand be ruined if someone leaves a cup sitting on top of it with condensation? Thanks.
Hey Jackie. Yes, it has a built in slide cover, just like a regular upright piano. It works well and I keep it down most of the time due to dust and cat hair. The music stand stays up fine for me and I don't think it will easily fall down since there are supports on the back. There are 2 headphone jacks underneath the keyboard on the left side, essentially under the volume knob. They are easy to access and plugging into them cuts off the speaker sound so that you can play quietly. The whole thing is made of plastic, so putting drinks on it shouldn't matter.
They are completely different, so you'll have to decide based on your needs. The DDP 100 is a console piano and the DEP 20 is not, so it really depends what you're looking for. There are other features you should compare as well before making the decision.
I keep hearing people say this is a good beginner keyboard. I played and took lessons from kindergarten to 10th grade and I want to start playing again. I want a good piano but don't really want to spend more than 700 (im using Christmas money) would this be it?? Or is there another electric furniture stand piano you could recommend?

Great to hear! Hope you enjoy it.
How did it work out? Do you like it? I’m thinking to get it for my 9 yo son who is a beginner.
I just bought this piano on cyber Monday because of this video. Thank you so much!

I love that song “lush life” you played it so beautifully it touched my soul 💙🙏
One of the most informative and enjoyable reviews I've watched. Thank you.

I just got this piano in white. I am a beginner and it is brilliant. Sounds good.

The line out went straight to our sound card for the video. The midi out went to the usb port in our computer :)
I am a bass player and You Tuber too. I use a piano for composing and recording. Thanks for the review...well done
Thanks, glad you liked it! It's definitely a cool instrument for the money. No doubt.

Here's where it starts
Awesome playing. What virtual instrument were you playing? Thanks
Just to clarify, when in MIDI mode with a virtual piano, do the piano speakers cut off? I would like to play through my Mac with wireless headphones with no noise coming from the piano itself. Thanks.
You can just turn the volume on the piano down, which will not affect the midi signal :)

I’m wondering if this is better than the Yamaha P143
If you’re a good musician, you will make any keyboard sound 🔥
I just got mine, but not sure what midi cable to get, suggestion? Thanks
Just use the usb port in the keyboard and connect it to a computer. It will make a virtual midi port, no midi cable needed :)
@@MyMusicMasterclass thanks
Could you rate the touch sensitivity? Like can you play super quiet or loud ?
Yeah, it's pretty sensitive. It also has a quiet pedal which helps.
Don't know if this is still relevant but it also has a volume controller next to the power button
Are the keys slippery ? My Privia PX150 doesn't want my fingers on it !
The keys aren't slippery in my opinion. They feel good.
Which one is better donner dep 20 or ddp100
They are completely different, so you'll have to decide based on your needs. The DDP 100 is a console piano and the DEP 20 is not, so it really depends what you're looking for. There are other features you should compare as well before making the decision.
what did you end up getting? happy with it? I'm considering these 2 as well.
Does it have a ‘record’ function? In other words, can I record my playing directly from the piano or will I need to use an interface?
There is no record function on this model, but you'll be able to record easily with your interface.
Thanx, Gentlemen. Very helpful. 🌹🔥🌹🔥

We like it over here and it's definitely good for the money. As you can see from the video, it's not just for beginners.
