This version of Goatman had the best intro on this channel. Calvin seeing two horns over the hill and asking "is that a goat?" Before realizing who that is and bolting to his house, while the thing chases him with a diabolical moan and we see it a second away from getting Calvin before he enter his house and it destroying one of his windows out of spite. That was legit a movie scene!
I genuinely think Goatman is the best Dweller mod. He's so well designed. He doesn't just randomly show up & kill you, he stalks you, toys with you & tricks you. His design (especially this newer one) isn't to over the top, he just looks like a deformed Minecraft goat as he should, his old design though really cool, didn't really suit Minecraft & looked very out of place (like a lot of Minecraft Dweller mods honestly)
I used to think the goatman mod was unusable. The unending spam of the same, tired, 5 sounds on an undying repeat ruined it. It wasn't even scary, just unbearably annoying. This, though? This is an improvement in every way. It messes with your head, scares you, k*lls your livestock, and plays a twisted red light green light with you. Most importantly, the sound is much, much better. When the old sounds pop up, I still get Excalibur face (shout out to the people who get that reference), but other than that, it is a fantastic horror mod now. Gw mod maker!
So true. Coming from someone who hates the Cave Dweller mod (and most 'Dweller' mods tbh), I got sick of the Goatman pretty quickly as well when it followed the same gimmick. Replay the same old audios, almost make you deaf when chasing you, and kill you almost instantly. This is such an amazing upgrade because it adds so much more. This update _unnerves_ me, and that's saying something.
this version is made by a completely different person rather than it being an "update", the original was taken down after all the criticism about dweller copies was too much for them

Your idea + imagine a mob that looks like a random player, not like herobrine but a random skin. It has a random name tag and it can show up in your tab/menu even in single player worlds. It could even just be the single players exact skin as a sort of ‘copy’ or ‘mimic’. It copies your house and you only catch glimpses of it until it eventually starts becoming hostile and ‘attacks’ you and your builds. And if you don’t retaliate and try to kill this ‘player’ it eventually tries to kill you and destroy your house or even take over your house and getting your name tag/players name and starts spawning and attacking you inside your home. Could also be based of the AI used for these ‘scary’ creature mods Calvin plays often, seeming as though it would share a similar behaviour.
I don't know why, but seeing a bunch of XP on the ground feels even scarier than just having the leftover items on the ground, something about the jingle of something dead is shiver inducing

God, if it EVER FINALLY RELEASES, I hope Calvin plays with the Manbear. Genuinely one of the best horror mods out there and it’s very similar to Goat Man in how it behaves.
i remember when in ur videos when there was no cuts and the clip was of u doing something more boring there was ALWAYS gonna be something that happens and it was predictable. Now you often put the boring clips in even when nothing happens, so the viewer doesnt know if something WILL happen or no, im glad u improved, great job!

God, if it EVER FINALLY RELEASES, I hope Calvin plays with the Manbear. Genuinely one of the best horror mods out there and it’s very similar to Goat Man in how it behaves.
i remember when in ur videos when there was no cuts and the clip was of u doing something more boring there was ALWAYS gonna be something that happens and it was predictable.
Now you often put the boring clips in even when nothing happens, so the viewer doesnt know if something WILL happen or no, im glad u improved, great job!
