The orig. owner's (nick-)name was Emo and (obviously) it was named after him but this was way back in the 90's, I believe.

I agree that his lows are definitely insane just blow my mind every time i hear them. but when it comes to his highs, while they are not your conventional high scream and aren't very clean, they ARE his own kind of scream. kind of a danny warsnop trademark. for a long time i didn't like them but the more you hear him the more...right it sounds.
Man how I wish I saw this Danny when he existed :(

@Borba02 so true! people have NO idea what it's like to play or sing live, especially this kind of music, they think it's as easy as recording the song at studio, when you can erase the parts of performance and re-record it and do things like that 100 times until the result is perfect.
@Grecian92 Actually, his highs are pretty good for live highs. He's on key, and on the right pitch. They're a little scratchy, but you can't expect perfection.

I really think they're FUCKING AWESOME and I listen to em pretty much everyday,together with bands like SOAD, Nirvana and other classics.(Myeah, I know, they might not deserve that spot, but meh..thats my own taste of music k?).
But... still. There are bands that can perform AWESOMELY live and there are bands that can not. Unfortunately AA is one of 'em few who can't:((

@amixofmany A band being good live isn't about them peforming the song copmletely perfectly. How would you like it if you saw a band live and they played the songs really well, but just stood there.

@sebzapata i know where you're coming from, but i disagree with your view. a perfect example of a band that plays songs almost perfect every night and has amazing stage presence, the devil wears prada. and they move around a lot more than these guys. not to mntion asking alexandria's vocalist can't actually scream live. stage performance is important, but if the sound can't follow it up it's just useless. the music should come first

Well, mate, I'm the listener, not the compositor. It would be kind of hipocritic if compositors were judging 'em selves, don't you think? I'm not trying to bring out a fight, not at all. I just think that Asking Alexandria is rather weak live while they keep the dragon-killer position on their records.

They used to be BEAST LIVE. Now... ehh... not soo much lol There not as crazy and Danny can't scream like he use to. Which is pretty DAMN sad, because Danny's screams were fucking EPIC !

The reason his highs sound like that was because well 1. he drinks and smokes too damn much. and 2. because hes screaming every single night at shows. and 3. he ruined his voice. thats why. but hes still amazing

i take back when i said you shouldnt critisize if you cant do better. because alot of times you cant, so its pretty much pointeless to say if you think a band sucks ass, but couldnt do any of those things they do half as well. thats like saying "they suck" and then right after that saying, "i must suck ass.." get my point? thats just my opinion, and dosent mean anything to anyone, so i dont see why i did ask... thanks XD

@bowkidpker Suicide Silence isn't all that great. Their vocalist is really good, but he's annoying. His guest vocals in Classic Struggle by Winds of Plague were sick though. Wop's newest album isn't as good as their old one, but it's worth having.
