This is an honest, unbiased magic review of the new Penguin Magic effect called Lucid. It was at blackpool magic convention, and Magic Live 2023, the two biggest magic conventions in the world. Lucid sold out in both of those. For those wondering, Magic Live is a Las Vegas magic convention where some of the most brilliant minds and performers in magic attend, including Criss Angel, David Copperfield, Shin Lim, David Blaine, Tyler Lunsford, Fiddlinjonny, DMC, and Matt Franco!
Lucid is a magic trick where a card in a plastic bag can appear, change, vanish, and more. It is customizable to a dollar bill, and allows you to do black art #magic. The gimmicked plastic bag is so visual, and an amazing effect! This trick is very easy to do for the most part!

My biggest issue with this trick is the loading of the objects, cards, money etc into the bag is so obviously setup that anyone would start asking questions as soon as you spend more than a second trying to load the gimmick. At least for me I find this is a major flaw.

@@BlakeAleongMagic I like it. A few spectators have tried to guess the method, but guessed incorrectly. I hope the gimmick lasts a long time. 🤞🏻Not a fan of DIY unless I absolutely have to.

Thank you so much! As mentioned, this is perfect for any scenario. It packs flat and plays big, and there are not really any angle issues. It also has an instant reset, so this is great for walk-around.

When you say you reduced the flashing of the card vanish by 95 percent, what did you do that helped because i’ve had this problem too
Slightly bend the gimmick. Not too much. Just a little. Also, reapply the gimmick if the bag has bubbles.

I mean, I'd you knew the method and had all the supplies, maybe.... but it would take a long time and probably wouldn't be as good as if you bought it.
