Purdue global is a decent University, it has supported me in the job market not a diploma mill.
Gracias por compartir tu experience; I’m planning to do my master with Purdue: nice to know about your experience. Blessings and good luck to you. 🙌🇨🇴💝🇺🇸💐
Just finished my degree at UMPI, kinda considering grabbing another from PUG, but not so thrilled about 180 final projects/essays.
One project per credit or per class?
I think Purdue has a VERY long way to go to fix the Kaplan "For Profit" situation. Their Graduation rate is low, but the Withdrawal and Transfer rates are very high. So people are leaving PUG en masse. Sad thing is, when you graduate, you do not get a Purdue University Diploma, But a PUG Diploma. Other schools, when you complete their online programs offer the same Diploma as in resident student receives. Also the very low income prospects for PUG graduates means a very very low ROI for PUG students...
That is annoying
That it is a different
Degree!
Thank you very much for your good explanation
TY so much for the wealth of information on your videos. You truly have made a difference for me!
So happy to hear it! 🤩
Being enrolled (and almost done) with their cybersecurity b.s. degree, it very much is one of those programs “you get out what you put into it”.
I have spoken with an admissions representative. You have to write papers as assignments. And every assignment has to be 80% or higher in order to pass.
I’m current in my last term in PG, pursuing my MS in ABA . Very challenging, I like it but the ABA Master program is a lot of work! No transfer credits and you DO Not work on your own pace , work is due every Tuesday and it’s a lot. I have friends in other programs and they are shocked at the amount of work I have compared to them. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend.
Nice! You’re in their structured program rather than the ExcelTrack it sounds like. Sounds demanding in a good way 😄 Thanks for the insight!
@@CollegeHacked@CollegeHacked I am on the same track, and the workload has increased tremendously during my senior year.
Excellent online university. I have worked my tail off in my 400-level courses.
Something my dad used to always ask, “did you study to pass the test? or did you study to learn and retain the material?” I was annoyed when I was younger because passing was passing, got it done and over with lol. I finally matured and realize ah, they are two different things. There are some who went to a traditional college and also feel like they haven’t learn a thing, like those who complain about PUG.. online degree isn’t for everyone. It’s a lot of self teaching and self motivation. Just like you mentioned, it’s the person that makes the degree not the other way around. With all the resources out there, everything can be self taught these days, but just hard without the guidelines and what to know.
Very well said!
I’m currently going here for a bachelors in IT. I hacked some of it but went the more traditional 10 weeks to have more structure. I’ll have my bachelors in just under two years. I felt like I haven’t learned much though. The seminars are jusy the professors telling you that you have an assignment and the discussion boards basically. I like having the Purdue name but I will be switching over to UMGC for my masters.
UMGC is a great place for your grad program, sorry your Purdue experience wasn’t so great. Thanks for the feedback :)
You wont learn anything until ur in the field brother. College isn’t there to teach you about your career it’s there to familiarize you what you’d be doing in ur field. You will understand everything from actually working in ur field and learning
Bro can you cover the University of Florida online next? I am considering that Uni.
Unfortunately they are not hackable 👎🏼
Purdue is great! I’m graduating this year BA under 2 years. People who are saying it’s not challenging are not really challenging themselves.
Excellent work 🤩 And thanks for sharing your experience!
Does it make you take test with a camera watching you??
I have been considering this place.
IT changed my life.
Holy $hi+, ßitch€$!!! Cliff finally reviewed PUG! :D
In seriousness though, when I was giving them a look-over, I wasn’t crazy about the fact that they have IT degrees in general, yet also no dedicated CS degrees (something that both WGU and TESU offer, the former now also featuring ABET program accreditation).
Still, boss uploading! :D
We would love for them to add CS 🙏🏼
Thank you for the information. I'm considering PG for a Masters in Psychology/Addiction Counseling. Do you have any information with regards to that program in particular?
Haven’t had anyone go through that one!
Thank you! Do you also have info on Purdue Daniels School of Business for online MBAs?
That’s the real Purdue, which isn’t hackable, so we do not 👎🏼
Can you do a video on Texas A&M University-Commerce? I am really thinking about finishing my bachelors there as they have already accepted 80 credits of mine from previous college work and Sophia. It may also be a good school for many other people who do not know about it.
It’s on the list! 😄
Hello, I'm planning to get CBE Safety and Health but I'm ESL don't know if I'll make it, just working on my GED,.
Did you have to verify if you were able to transfer the credits? Additionally, what degree did you apply for? I am based in Texas and I would like to look further into this please and thank you!
Be happy.
I have asked questions before, which you have answered, thank you very much.
For almost a year I have done intermediate but due to many reasons I could not continue my studies. Now I want to studies further but facing many problems.
I would request you to let me know an easy online solution for studying which is cost effective and time consuming.
Getting credit hours at SOFIA is easy and cheap too, but the problem is that University of People has a limited program and few hours are available at SOFIA like in business only 30 credit hours can be obtained from SOFIA and that too. It is not known if this will be acceptable and if it is not enough then the costs will increase for further studies.
I have little time so please suggest me something which is very easy and cheap because the country currency price is a big issue. As a international Student
There is no option less expensive than University of the People, but if you Google University of the People Study.com, a Reddit thread will come up that gives you more equivalencies :)
what about (NDSU) North Dakota State University?
I saw their programs have cool degrees like Engineering
which I like because other online colleges don't have it, even TESU only have Engineernig Technology.
Engineering is a tough major to hack, especially if the program is ABET accredited. Typically those classes and their prereqs have to be taken through a school and can’t be hacked. But if your longterm goal requires ABET, then it’s worth it.
I have a 2 year degree, and I recently enrolled at Purdue in pursuit of my Bachelor of Science degree via the ExcelTrack route. Purdue accepted approximately 96 of my transfer credits. My advisor stated that I can easily have my degree in as little as 6 months. She stated that it will take a lot of writing of papers on my part. I would say that I am a skilled writer, and that I can put together content in a pretty fast manner. Do you think that my advisor was accurate in her assessment that I can earn my degree that quickly?
Thank you, and I love your content
Thanks for watching, glad you’re enjoying the content! It’s definitely possible, just lots of writing papers, like she said! 📝
Im thinking about starting their MS in legal studies program. The company I work for is going to 100% pay for the tuition. My only worry is that as I look up reviews for the school that the degree may not be respected because it's Purdue Global. And people view it as a diploma mill.
If your job will pay for it and no other school, it’s still worth it. But you might contact your HR about possible alternative options given PUGs current situation.
@CollegeHacked thank you for responding! Your videos also helped me put some things in perspective. And I, in fact, did take a closer look at our catalog. I have decided to go for my MPA through CSUF instead.
I have that same issue with my job, it pays for Capella but I’m concerned about their reputation.
Can you do Wilmington University & U Mass Global ??
UMass Global is on the list! :)
I graduated from SNHU with BS…
Now decided to go to PUG- excel MBA. I think really- you have to put in the work to be “challenged” also .. lol maybe life is just so dang stressful that doing homework is easy lol
What you think about PUG MBA?
We’ve heard good things about it! It sounds like you’ve had an easy time so far?
@@CollegeHacked great.
I have not started yet, I start April 6. However- I have looked over some videos and whatnot. Most say the same about the PUG process
So does the diploma from PUG have Global written on it, or is it the same diploma that an on-campus student would get?
No Global, no online😊
So the final test you could call it. Is just an essay your write in your time and just have to make a passing rate to pass the class. No final test?
Correct 😄
@CollegeHacked .... Can you do a video on which schools offer the easiest pathway to a bachelor's Degree for those people who struggle with Math?
Enroll in courses through Sophia and transfer your credits to UMPI. Sophia's exams are open book and unproctored, allowing you to use an online calculator to successfully complete the necessary MAT classes.
Do your math on Sophia.
Dennis said it beautifully 😊
@@CollegeHacked .... thank you both for the feedback. Math feels like the biggest obstacle by far to a college degree. I will definitely check it out. I really think a video on the topic would help a lot of people.
I currently attend this institution for CyberSecurity. I keep having doubts if my degree will be useful once I graduate in September because of the negative reviews and feedback I’ve been seeing and I know restarting would be a huge waste of time wanted some feedback to see if I made the right choice
The great news is that the person makes the degree, not the other way around :) Work hard to learn things from your program you can point out in interviews later. How you feel about your degree is the main factor in how your interviewers feel about it. If you can talk about what you learned and genuinely say it was a good experience, that’s what they’ll get from it. Rather than have to lie, try to isolate some really positive things you experience or learned from the degree :) But you’re right that starting over elsewhere for cyber will mean losing a lot of credit. WGU would be the best transfer but you’d only get direct equivalencies because of their lack of free electives. Certs are more important for cyber anyway, I would go that direction if you feel ill-prepared by the degree :) (in addition to finishing the degree)
Could you do a video on LSU online program
Good quality programs, and they accept 90 credits of transfer, but they are barely hackable. No Sophie/Study accepted, so not hackable in our book.
How can you get a letter of recommendation when you have not worked or been to college for awhile?
This is a great question! Finding former instructors on LinkedIn is a great way if you don’t have any contacts left from your former program. If you really have no way of finding anyone appropriate for the ask (usually jobs/grad programs want 1 academic, 1 professional, etc.), contact the admissions team and ask what they prefer you do. Usually they’ll just let you submit two professional recs, as opposed to requiring an academic one.
Christopher, TOP have released overcompensate are u not going to explain it to us 😢
I’m thinking about it and listening to the song. Stay tuned.
Does PUG limit how many classes you can do?
Nope!
Hi brother
please can you make a review of IU International University of Applied Science
i will be thankful
Sorry, but we only review US schools :)
I'm doing my bachelors there and I like it :)
Can you review Bellevue University?
Just added it to the list. We’ve had a number of people ask for it now, and they do have great transfer charts and articulation agreements. It looks like a good option from my cursory glance.
I started the Exceltrack for my masters at Purdue Global 2 weeks ago.
Hey how is it so far, do you need your full time to study?
I started there also, about a month ago ✨
@@deja_1111 How is your progress thus far? Are you requiring all of your available time for studying?
How is it going
...and???
Hey, you told there are weird requirements to join PURDUE.
I am from INDIA, and don't have any degree and work experience, I am 17 and just finished my high school and planning to get a bachelors degree. Am I eligible? It would be really great if you could share some details
If you have no work experience yet, there are better schools for you than Purdue!
Can you review GCU online degree
There are better schools :)
what about their nursing program?
looks like it could turn out cheaper than wgu if done right. i imagine it depends on the nursing degree specialty, if it's master level or bachelor's, and the number of credits you can transfer it.
If it is not regionally accredited it probably wont be useful for nursing.
PUG already IS regionally accredited.
@@RabbiJesus its RA. But thats not the issue.
@@malcolmjelani3588 until you’ve spent thousands of dollars and hours to get a degree that doesn’t actually get you where you want to be. That’s certainly an issue.
Anyone scared of DEI shouldn’t get a degree to stay competitive. You’ve already given up.
I walk across the stage May 4th with my BS in Business Administration. For me, PUG has been great overall. I do feel like a few courses were lean and I didn’t pick too much up from them. For example, I am seeing a lot of job offers for Accounting now that I’m finished and I feel I am not prepared enough based on coursework at PUG.
Interesting! What about the accounting job duties makes you feel unprepared, what do you feel you’re missing?
Are they regionally accredited?
Yeah. They also likely wouldn’t be remaining under Purdue University ownership if they weren’t.
@@MateDrinker33 things must have changed because I thought HLC was national.
I looked at their website, I didn't see regional accreditation.
Paper Mill (Kaplan)
Really hoping this eventually gets shut down. It hurts real Purdue students.
?
@@CollegeHacked PUG was created as a political stunt by the former system president/ former IN governor (Mitch Daniels). Purdue faculty opposed the school, and the University Senate voted against it. PUG has been a financial and academic failure. Purposeful confusion between the two schools harms legitimate Purdue students. Their hard work is sullied by this failed cash grab.
This college is not for busy adults im not joking they do not give a shit
Say more
Purdue University used to be known as Kaplan University.
I look forward to the day State 45 Education LLC completes the process of transforming the University of Phoenix into Idaho State University Global! :D
I wouldn't go there just due to their woke advertising. That is a huge red flag.
