Hi, Thank you for this video. I have a doubt - I am a medical doctor. What does Indian Law/Act says about using patient data. I mean -
1. If I don't use the patient's personal identification details and only use his microscopic slide images or X-Ray images for creating an AI model, do I need to take consent from Patient as well. (in this case data is being used for Research purpose only)
2.If I create the model and publish it either open-source or commercially, do I need separate permission from patient that with his disease information I might create a commercial product?
Edit 1. - Even if the consent becomes mandatory, then isn't it little bit difficult to educate the patient at that time. I mean he is already ill, he just want to get better and go home. Now instead of doing the test immediately, I am educating how I want to use medical data for research purpose which won't have your personal details. And it's not like i need to do this with just 100-200 patients. Data science requires thousands of data.
