Why not supplement with frataxin then? And carnivore diet to minimize free radicals? (Sugar creates a lot of fr's when burned in mitochondria) Anyone tried this?

Larimar Therapeutics is currently investigating a form of frataxin replacement in clinical trials: www.curefa.org/drug-development/nomlabofusp-cti-1601/
Unlike gene therapy, which is a one-time-only dose, protein replacement therapy would need to be taken on a regular basis. There are currently no studies that indicate whether a carnivore diet may be beneficial in FA. It's important to talk to your doctor to decide on the best diet for you.
