You obviously aren't a vet or work with one there absolutely is something wrong with sucking their thumbs like that one is her thumb when pulled out was white and textured and saliva was showing all around her mouth means she has a pool of saliva in her mouth they allow her to suck literally 24/7 what would happen if your thumb was in your mouth all day and night well a monkeys thumb gets gross it looks like it grew a bunch more skin (it didnt) it turns gray and then can start getting worn and I'm surprised you didn't think of this anyone with half a brain does it can get infected and almost always does like 98% of the time when allowed to suck like that it gets bright red painful to suck often will split in a little spot they also can get the infection in their mouth too also sucking the way that baby is anyone that researches or works with primates knows is absolutely not normal and only caused by extreme stress a pet monkey well cared for physically and mentally does not self soothe like that they might suck when tired or of course upset but never like that. She may have been procured at an even younger age when the owner killed her mother to get her for video taping. The owner, perhaps, heard that female monkeys were easier to deal with so she became their target acquisition. 2. With greater probabilty, I'm convinced that she's been drugged for this video so that viewers will say, "How sweet and calm she is!" And since they don't stop to think about WHY she's so quiet, the viewers will go on to forward the 'sweet' and 'tamed' monkey to their friends who will ignorantly coo along as well. One thing I hadn't thought ofis that while she looks physically sound, she just may be ill. Baby monkeys are alert and busy. She is too young to NOT react to the blow dryer. My dogs are meant to be pets, and even so, try to get away from the blow dryers at bath times. My parrot used to yell at me when I did my hair every day... why is this baby not even lifting or covering her head? She's far too young to be "used to it". If any of you has a heart, you'll boycott this site and others like it. Exploitation of these primates for your monkey fantasies is cruel and dsays a lot about the kind of person you are.

She isn't walking well because she's very young and her little bones are still forming. They put that HUGE nappy on her and it spreads her little hips and legs unnaturally far. She'll lay more on the side that doesn't hurt as much and the leg that hurts atrophies a little by not being used. Once she's bigger and can get around better it may correct itself, but who knows? @ I get my knowledge from vets and actual people who care about them. They don’t dress them up in clothes, feed the, things they shouldn’t eat, make them wear diapers that cause skin issues and other things. The thumb sucking is specially because if it was with its mother where it would be nursing on a regular basis and have the comfort of its mothers body.
