I dont know the answer to your questions but there are loads of books written for additional info of the got universe. They r written as actual factual books asthough they r real historical places.

KingdomRNO Not sure . I havent read them . Ive just heard RUclipsrs talk about them .
I dont think GRRM writes them . But i think its his team or you know the 2 people that help him write ASOIAF .
Give it a Google, failing that ask youtubers . Someone will know more :-)
