@@Kanariepiet-rq7lt …all great players, though nowhere near as lyrical. I watched Hadrien perform next to Bona. Hadrien is just that good. Yet, Richard made him look like 2D in a 4D world. He can high speed scat every note on the fretboard …& not miss a single one.
Just recently he played in Russia for Putin's money and with Putin's friend Butman. This is a clear statement from an international artist, he chose the side. No more respect for this man.
@@JuergenJoherl Yes. There's a video on youtube. Avishai Cohen, the bassist, did the same thing. Following that incident, several European festivals canceled his concerts. Allan Harris also performed there. And Tigran Hamasyan played in Russia at least twice last winter...
@@JuergenJoherl I'm not capable of such moral gymnastics. This is clear fact of supporting Russian agression. No matter if they did it for money or because of their own fantasies about world order, or both. If they were against Russian politics and agression and had stated so before, they wouldn't play concerts there, cause they'd be put in jail just stepping on Russian land. So rather than opposing agression, these artists are essentioally saying it's ok that this regime erase Ukrainian cities and kills people.

The George Benson of bass guitar. IMHO, he has no competition.
Hadrien Feraud, Anthony Jackson, Melvin Davies, Alain Caron... but yes you are right, Bona is amazing!

Go to moscow!
...after Putin is gone and Russians apologize, pay for the damage of failed imperialism and return Ukrainian children
