Then after that, a huge war involving robots happened for the next few centuries and later culminated in them becoming so human that they eventually became the dominant species while the actual humans went extinct and the world was flooded. Talk about how something so small can lead to something world changing.
It is kinda funny seeing it that way, it also reminds me of some old saying I heard awhile back, I don’t remember where, but it stuck with me because it is really literally teaching how to prevent stuff like school terrorists and the like most of the time; “Do not mistreat anyone especially the children, for that child could grow up 1 day to come back and burn it down”.
Zero X4: WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR!? Zero Z4: I never cared about justice, and I don't ever recall calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people that I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears before me, I will destroy it! He finally knows what he was fighting for and it all happened at the number four.
Everything is coming full circle (even if that's something he did throughout the entire zero Series, since copy X and the guardians called him maverick since day 1.)
He technically was a maverick in the first place. He was made to be evil and be the last creation of Wily to make sure that his presence was felt in the future. Though the Virus imbedded in Zero caused him to be more chaotic, meaning when Sigma broke Zero's Forehead Gem, the base personality that was supposed to be in zero was erased, leaving only the "Maverick" version, which was the opposite of what Wily wanted, a creation that fought for Good and Peace. Not even Wily was able to bring back Zero's core personality, as Zero's personality chip was in the possession of Cain and X. Even though Zero killed a Man, he was doing it for the sake of saving many more lives in the process. Zero was following the Zeroth law. Zero didn't allow humanity to come to harm by killing Weil.
Zero finally put that question that's been echoing in his head for centuries, Iris' death was not in vain, He fulfilled both Dr. Light's _and_ Dr. Wily's goals, by carving his own path, fighting for those he believes in.
For centuries he may have been asleep, but he indeed woke up with definitive ideals, and a true answer to his long lasting doubts (If we have in mind that all of this should happen after X5). Zero is a really self concious man, and he indeed woudn't back off from any threat, small or big, that would put his friends, and his beloved Ciel in harms way. A true Hero and decisive warrior. I feel sad for his demise, but he indeed died protecting what he believed. A true HERO indeed!
Killing a monster who lost his right to call himself human after a massive genocide and nearly destroying all life on the world out of petty hate and enjoyment out of it. Weil deserved death.

I mean this fight is more for Zero, it is also to avenge X, which I feel like many people seem to forgot that through Weil's action X gave himself up, sealed himself and ultimately sacrificed himself with what remained of him
I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
This is probably my favorite final boss, he may not be that hard, but man, the build up to this boss, and Zero fighting knowing he must likely won't make it out alive. It's just epic, I can't think of any better word.
"Do you really have it IN you to KILL me?!?!" Mega Man in 7 could had prevented all of this happening yet his programming to not harm humans did not allow him to take Wily's life. X's 30 year morality testing ensured that he would never harm a human in spite of having free will which led to Weil being spared yet became the monster he is now. Zero who was created to cause endless fighting as a last attempt to spite his creator's rival ended up choosing to kill a human despite not having true free will like X does. Over the long years, Zero learned and grew to think for himself thanks to X being around and showing him that there is more to life than fighting and eventually placing his faith in the people he choose to believe in by fighting those who are causing suffering on others.
The US ending of Mega Man 7 is not canon, because in the original Japanese version, he doesn’t even contemplate killing Wily. But you’re right about his programming stopping him from killing Wily, just wanted to point that out if you didn’t know.
Weil: If you kill me you will become the very thing you swore to destroy. Zero: The only thing I swore is: If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
That's what makes that battle so epic. Feeling that you need to avoid his attacks, prove that you're good enough. Prove that you *know* what you're fighting for and *nothing* will stop you, not even Weil.
Now X and Zero can rest in peace, knowing that the world that Dr. Light and X dreamed of can finally be made... It's not like this will cause anymore chaos in the future or anything... Obviously not...
I just love how dr light and dr willy respective dream came true by the joint work of both their creation. Dr Light dream of human and reploid coexistence never would have come true without the strenght of willy robot zero and dr willy dream of creating the strongest most destructive robot in the world never would have come true without x and light vision.
A more accurate translation would be: "How could I... to this mere puppet...? (You) Perish! Perish forever!" Original: "この... ワシが… この人形ごときに... 滅べ!滅んでしまえぇ!!"

I remember I came back to this series after playing the first 3 games as a kid, when I was a teen and finally figuring out what happened in the 4th game and I got so sad and actually heartbroken when I finished it.
I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero. I have only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate. If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it! - Zero
Zero was a stoic badass to the end. Only two minutes to defeat this boss? Don't care, still doing it. Fighting on a falling space station as it heats up from atmospheric re-entry? Don't care, just focusing on the fight. Good chance you'll die even if you win? Doesn't matter, still saving everyone I care about. Breaking the laws of robotic by killing a human as a reploid? Don't care, still doing it cause it needs to be done.
Someone mentioned that Zero, in this battle, is operating on the 0th Law of Robotics: Under no circumstances can a robot, through Action or Inaction, let Humanity come to harm. This law allows it to override the other 3, but is never programmed in, most of the time. Zero never had it programmed, either. Instead...I believe he LEARNED this Trump Law. From X, of all reploids.
Zero technically respected the Laws of Robotics, because the prime objective of those laws is the preservation of humanity as a whole. And since Weil lost his humanity years ago, he doesn't count.
Even better. Zero was built by Dr. Wily. Zero was never originally programmed with the Laws of Robotics put into him in the first place. The only reason Zero doesn't go killing is because he's got a Bass like personality that leaves him wanting to battle, but because he's not uncontrollably angry, he can behave himself and understand things like X's Moral code. Which is another mistake on Wily's part, as he likely stole the entire plans behind The RM 2.0 (X and Zero are not reploids) Which comes with the ability for the robot in question to grow, learn, and change their mind on anything they want. In short. Zero didn't have no issues killing Weil because Weil is a monster. It's because of our great nemesis, Dr. Albert Wily.
The battle may only last for 2 minutes at most, but once Weil is defeated and Zero has said his goodbyes, he still rocks out to this until he hits the ground. Not a bad way to go, I suppose.
It's a retroactive thing, but I love how Mega Man 11 showed initially Wily wanted to make robots who could become heroes. Despite eventually losing sight of that goal, his final creation not only succeeded in becoming the world's greatest hero, but also Light's deam of humans and robots living together peacefully as shown by the ZX series. However, it couldn't have been done without the aid of X. And that also fits into Light's desire to have him and Wily's ideas work together instead of being in opposition.

Una musica epica para un desenlace épico

Cell: I'll let you have this one. But Goku is mine, got that?!?
Zero: Cell... believe in me!
I haven't actually played the Collection, so I'm going to assume you're just unaware of how low quality Zero 4's original soundtrack sounds?
Or is the gamerip just bad? Sounds pretty consistent with the others to me...
This is GBA audio. Of course it's low-quality.
I DON'T WANT TO BE THE ONE TO PUSH YOU DOWN AND PULL YOU UP AGAIN
I DON'T WANT TO BE THAT WAY YOU'RE FALLING DOWN, YOU'RE FALLING DOWN!

A machine meant to do evil became the greatest hero (besides X)
It seems like it sounded better when I played the japanese MMZ4 on GBA and Collection on the DS.
No, that was me.

"Bwahahahaha I told you I cannot die!"
Yo imagine if z4 was never made and we just have to tell X : Can't bro no new game.
finally a video without no dislikes
One of the best fucking final boss themes of all time. No joke. Just as epic as Sword of Doom from BlazBlue (Chronophantasma version is 100x more epic).
When you slip on the stairs
YAAAAARRR
I'm fallin on insanity
Eddie Vallaint vs. Toon Judge Doom
I just so sad these games got forgotten in the bits of history aside from the beloved fans.
I sincerely believe a thoroughly written megaman x anime followed by the megaman zero anime would be a fenomenal show. Hell I even picked interest in fullmetal alchemist cause eduardo resembels zero.
had to save load for this fight using an emulator, sry i lost most of my hp in the previous fight and i didnt expect that the phase 2 is harder than the first one lol and still took me 2 hour to pass.
