  • Framed 60 is a fun technique to go along with the Star 60 tool. In the Framed 60 unit you create a Star 60 unit with a contrasting band of color added around the outside edge of the diamond. You will find that there are 16 different unit sizes that you can make with this technique from 1 1/2" up to 9" in 1/2" increments. If you turn the Star 60 units into hexagons you can make stars from 3" up to 18" which gives you a world of possibilities.

I love that you offset the strips. Few instructors do. Your no waste methods are the best!

Another one for my list! Slowly building them up. But what an arsenal to have once the collection is complete. Someone gave me a present of one of the tools and I already had one of my own - I asked my friend if she would like one, so "yes pleeeeease!" So that will be her first introduction. I also sent her your link to the video and I think she is going to be so happy when we next meet up (she's fairly new to the internet and YT). Thank you. xx

I just bought another tool this month. This star 60 is the last one to get. I do have a creative grid 60 degree ruler but I have to say all the extra lines you add really help! I just switching over to Tuckerizing in hopes that me skills will improve to that next level. Your fabric choices in your quilts are amazing. Would you do a video on how to select a good color pallet like you do? Where do you get your fabrics? I don't see them in the stores or maybe I just don't see what they can become. I learn something new in each video. I love that!

I will add your request to the list of video topics. One reason that you aren't seeing many of these fabrics in stores is because they are old, and I have had them for a long time. I always shop at quilt shops to get my quilting cottons, they have the best quality and great variety.

You make everything look so easy and simple. I wish it went that well in my sewing room 😁 maybe because I can't afford all of these tools 😉👍

If you can add just one or two then that will help. I always recommend the Tucker Trimmer and Wing Clipper as the ones to purchase first their units show up everywhere and make everyday quilting a breeze. And then just add the others one at a time when you can until you have the tools you want in your toolbox.
