We DO need permission to film inside a ""public building"", a ""public building"" is literally a building owned by the government, state, county, city, town , and as owners they have the right to refuse entry and/or service to anyone who does not respect their building regulations Case law has well established that for decades. OUR right to free speech and ur right to film is protected by the first amendment in a TRADITIONAL PUBLIC forum = sidewalks, streets, public parks, plazas, alleyways... outdoor public areas ,,,,, this building is a NON--PUBLIC forum,,, even in a TRADITIONAL public forum our speech has time, place and manner restrictions that could possible be invoked to refuse us the right to free speech .

Local govenment offices are NON--PUBLIC forums ,,,,, filming is NOT allowed , free speech and filming is protected in a TRADITIONAL publicfourm , and even there they are subject to restrictions based on time, place and manner.

I'm from Methuen and I have to agree with your overall analysis pertaining to the police and public workers. They've made some progress over the years. Police use to be absolutely atrocious under Chief Solomon which is a story in of itself. But as of recent years there has been improvement. Cops here are learning and seem to be willing to genuinely build trust back in the community. They've changed their tone quite dramatically. Still some bad apples but major improvements.These employees at town hall though are done. You said it should have been fired yesterday. Will be looking out for MAA audits. Great take on my home city 👍

You want to watch Auditing Erie County TYRANT Supervisor CONSPIRES with JUDGE! CROOKED CROCKER LOCKPORT he's uploaded the same type of issue.
MAA Audits needs to refine his approach and his stammering.
This is painful to listen to, there are too many "You know what I mean." being tossed around.

Every auditor will get arrested.
Practice these lines ahead of time outloud and be comfortable saying them:
1.
Am I being detained?
2.
I do not waive my 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights
3.
I am not resisting.
Say each multiple times at the appropriate time.
Take care. Have a security plan. Let someone know your plans.
Do not film on your primary phone. Phones and cameras are regularly seized and held for no reason other than to hassle the auditor. Any equipment seized by the popo may be infected with malware and tracking software.
Back up your videos off site.
We live and learn.
Have a lawyer lined up.
Watch lots of other experienced auditors.
You can't put your hand on somebody, but if the cops won't do anything about it, what good does the law do? Just saying. Watching thousands of audits, it never seems like the cops EVER do anything against public officials.

Funny a camera is an issue in a public area deemed for the public. A mask is a issue but a couple years ago you couldn’t haven entered with out one! Wonder when a mask became a threat? But you still have signs to wear such mask in that building! Personal information is left in spaces deemed to the public? You need to ask the Mayor is you can film in a tax payers building! Maybe the Mayor then decides who comes in that building to do business or film in a public building and walk freely without being threatened and assaulted by employees who seem to be so scared and a threatened but laugh, then maybe we the people need a new Mayor doesn’t seem to even be able to conduct City Hall with professionalism and have professional employees than how does he run a town! Very bad look Mayor! You can’t train common sense! Maybe before these employees acted unhinged they should have called the Mayors office! A mask like that officer ? I’ve seen police wear mask like that with flags on them out on patrol! But if you don’t want to be a threat there are only certain type of mask you can wear, wonder if that applies to clothes, hats are an issue by these employees, jewelry or back packs are they also a issue? We profile clothes or the way you look? You can’t make this nonsense up it’s absolutely ridiculous and on the verge of bizarre madness!

360º wide-angle cams catch EVERYTHING in front of you, behind you, sides of you. I'd never leave home without one in your line of work. Not as your main cam but definitely a backup always recording. We all know there was an assault but we can't see the grab, which means neither can a judge. Leave no wiggle room. Most cellphones have a wide angle lens, but it wasn't used here because you would have to change the focal length on the fly.
Always take the business cards and look them up on their website. Always leave your FOIA request before leaving. Filming is not unlawful! I’m

The constant misuse of the word "opinion" is unbelievably frustrating. Opinions are subjective.
It's so gross that the police can always be counted on to employ the full force of their blatant bias without so much as a second thought. Depending on the person, their response is wildly different. If it's another government employee, they're going to excuse the behavior and refuse to uphold any law that's broken 9.999 times out of 10. If it's an auditor or someone else they dislike, they're going to twist themselves into pretzels trying to create a crime where none exists. I'd really like to know how these people sleep at night or look at themselves in the mirror knowing how disgusting they are.
