For me it was problem with ribbon cable connecting the screen to main board. I had black screen on RG351MP after reboot but before the reboot I had weird ghost image and haze all over the screen (some random shooter game that I played before). While having black screen the backlight was still working and I could start a game (I could hear sounds) So I flipped up the connector locking mechanism, re-plugged the cable, locked it and works again. (btw: disconnecting battery didn't do anything.)
Had an issue on my rgb10 max 2 of a really "dim" screen. Had sound only and the screen was extremely dim and i could see the image only when shining a really bright light at an angle. Disconnecting the battery didn't work and I even went as far as ordering a replacement screen and the issue still wasnt resolved. It wasnt a software issue either since when i removed the SD card the dim screen was still there. I just have to assume its the pcb at this point and cut my losses.
sorry to hear that, still no other issues with mine after I reconnected the battery. Fingers crossed it does not brick itself like other people have mentioned. Modded PS vita will probably be my next handheld if this thing dies.
@@playeveryday01 Its a shame too. I really liked the Max 2. My next handheld will definitely be one with a 5 inch screen. I considered a ps Vita as well. Right now i have a rg351p thats serving me well. Thanks for the reply.
@@playeveryday01 I unplugged battery and lcd and replaced it a few times . Screen stayed black. Then on another attempt it finally turned on. However, after going to the menu it glitched and did a hard freeze. After turning off and on a few times it rebooted and the boot up screen had blue lines over it and froze. Weird thing though whenever I put pressure on the front face of the console the screen would flicker. So I put the lcd cable in again to see if it helped but no. At this point I'm going to try use a new sd card flashed with the after market firmware. If this doesn't work then it's definitely faulty!
Solved it. Thats an weird issue. Caused by launching GUN NAC (NES) on the latest 351elec. The screen turns black only with backlight on. Disconnecting the battery doesnt fix it.Seems the emulator somehow causes an screen suspend mode or hangs it up. Of course that cant be an battery issue when the sound still is working and the emulator booting up. WHAT TO DO: Disconnect and reinsert the LCD ribbon cable (thats the folded broad one below the heatsink, lift the brown plastic and slide the ribbon out and in again, close the brown plastic) and it works again. Dont start this game again or it will repeat.

My rg351v just broke after 6 hours of gaming and could't be resurrected. What a shitty device. Never going to buy anbernic again.

Didn't work just a dim light... tried to charge it twice😩
😫 oh no! was it the exact same problem as mine ?
@@playeveryday01 yeah I think the battery is fried. Getting another unit to try my theory. They are really finicky
@@pskila yeah heard the reddit forums also suggested getting a new battery as you as soon as you get it. good luck
At this point it could be an sd card or battery....smh

Tnks bro
That fix the mine
For me I switched the screen battery save mode from auto to disabled
Where did you find this option? Was it booting in Linux or Android?
