All the scenes of Somun and Hana inside Somun's mind are just so amazing but there is also the thing that everything we saw there is really sad. Somun does not talk about his fears or whatever he feels with anyone, he is a 20-year-old boy carrying everything alone because no matter how strong the Counters are, none of them are at his level. If they can't protect him then he can't protect them either and that's what we've seen until this episode. It's really sad that if Hana hadn't entered his mind to persuade him, Somun would have just chosen to get lost and basically do the s word because like he said, he was exhausted. In the end, although he woke up anyway, he is still the strongest on the team and the one who is going to continue carrying the heavy load that he carries because it is obvious that he is not a normal Counter.
@@Achlystucyjx Yass and it's so sad that literally a lot of people took it as dramatic but even the fact that he clings so much to his hero, Ma JuSeok in this case, speaks to the fact that he really needs someone. Somun has not overcome any of his traumas, he lives in fear that he may be the cause of losing those he loves and no one seems to understand him.
EXACTLY!!! I swear SoMun's emotional struggle break my heart soooo much. He got over his guilt over his parents' death after 7 years and I'm guessing, in between the 2 years time jump, he grew a lot more and of course stronger + he must've realized how crucial his role is within the team. In some sense, in order for the counters to defeat stronger evil spirits, SoMun being the only one who can control the territory which can help them fight better (safer), he's shouldering THAT responsibility of keeping everyone safe. Plus, with MaJuSeok which is a 'hero-like' figure to him becoming evil spirit as well must've broken his faith at some point (Like remember when he asked last time 'If even good people can become evil spirit, who am I fighting for?), his responsibility and this emotional conflicts going through his 20y/o self is slowly crushing him that when this coma/memory-erased thing happened, he simply wanted to give up
@@kudo_007 Exactly, he knows that his existence itself is more than important not only for his team but for all the Counters in the world since in addition to being able to control the territory, he is almost Yung personified. There is also the thing that he is very young, he is 20 years old but that is nothing with all the responsibility he carries and I insist, it seems that no one understands because as we saw in future episodes of this one, he is the only one who continues to keep his hope up because it's the only thing that keeps him standing. Hana tells him to talk if something is bothering him but if he talks it is obvious that everything will be awkward and in fact we saw it so the whole Somun situation is really sad.
Bro if I was a counter, I wouldn’t let my powers go away twice in a lifetime let alone once!!!!
that moment when So Mun snaps out of it to protect Hana in his mind gives me chills every. single. time. ❤

the fact that he wanted to s himself is so heartbreaking
