    So we have something called Dale's marinade and it was made in Birmingham Alabama in 1946 apparently. It's soy sauce with corn syrup and garlic onion and paprika powder and people around here marinade everything in it. Steaks and burgers of course, but we also have a lot of wild game that it really helps tone down some gamey flavors. It doesnt seem to be quite as thick as kecap manis so I assume it isn't quite as sweet, but if you can get a bottle you may wanna try it and compare it to your marinade

  • @GrabLifeByDaPoosy
    @GrabLifeByDaPoosy 4 года назад +1

    I like making a sweet and spicy marinade using Dale's liquid steak seasoning or soy sauce, meat tenderizer, minced garlic, black pepper, cayenne pepper, ginger, and brown sugar. I heat it up a bit to help release the garlic taste and melt the sugar. Once it cools a bit I put my steaks in ziploc bags and pour my marinade in. The ziploc bags allow you to massage the steak inside the marinade if you choose to. Using a bag also allows you to use less marinade reducing waste.

    It looks, it tasted like a Sate Kambing (Lamb) for me.. I mean, we almost cooked everything with kecap manis all the time in here, especially when it comes to bbq.
    You know, they have kecap product which already consists of spices. I don't know whether they exported it, but we do have it here. It called Kecap Manis Pedas. Try it on. You won't regret it.

    Kecap manis is from Indonesia and here its just as popular as chili sauce or tomato sauce. Its 1000% different from regular soy sauce, cause this is actially really sweet and savory. Make some fried rice with this baby and you wont regret it👍👍

And yes, ABC Kecap Manis is the one of the best Kicap Manis around, although Malaysia have brands like Adabi, Lee Kum Kee, Habhal's, Healthy Boy Brand, Jalen, etc. ABC taste real good, but some other brands can taste better that ABC depending on what you are using it for eg. lamb, mutton, pork, chicken, beef.....
