It's great to see someone trying out something different, and it's very economical 😊 Do you have any issues with mold or mildew growing with this method?
Thanks so much. No mold or mildew issues, normally. If I transfer a plant either rotting issues, like any other medium, it could continue. But disinfecting the plant beforehand usually fixes that issue. 😃👍🏼🪴
Hey Aida (hoping that’s your name). It’s a fun way to grow them. It’s like a non-decomposing sphagnum. Hope you’re doing great!!!! Always great to hear from you.
Tysm. I really do too. So many less casualties and they love it. I just use fertilizer like I would for semi hydro. I’ve been using an orchid fertilizer at 1/2 to 1/4 strength. The link in the description has all the items I use as well. 😃
Do you do this for any plant or only pepperomia? I can’t imagine how healthy this is for the plant though. Why not just use tree fern fiber? Thanks for trying this and sharing!
I have so many different plant genera growing in this way. There’s no decomposing, since it’s acrylic, it’s reusable if you clean/disinfect before reusing and it’s like a different type of semi hydro. As long as you supplement with fertilizer, they do great! I’ve had some growing for a few years in acrylic already. 😃👍🏼. Some of my challenging plants do well in this medium. 🪴🌱
They r beautiful ❤🎉😊
Thank you so much!!! I love just looking at them!!! Plants are amazing!!! 🤩
Would orchids like this way of cultivation?
Yup. The video from yesterday has an orchid growing in this method and it’s spiking. Yay!!! Thanks so much for watching. 😃😃😃🪴

I love this way of growing, but how do you fertilize?
