And just 2 months after this video was made the price of GRIN crashed down to under 30 cents per coin. Really shows you how careful you need to be when starting your investment.

Damn. They already bumped the price to $899.00 and Grin is currently trading at $0.34. At 8 coins a day, that's $2.72/Day. You're looking at 330+ days of mining before you break even. That's a hard pass for me.
I really hate when ppl think they are going to make the same amount every month in a year. This is a form of investment, you won't get rich overnight. The object is to make as much crypto you can and hope the price increases 5 years down the road.
I really hate when ppl try to make really obvious points on someone else's comment. Of course the price of crypto changes. My opinion is still valid... even more so, today. The price of GRIN is down to $0.23 and the cost of that miner has increased to $1400.00. if you want to buy something with an ROI of 1,544 days, be my guest. There are way better ways to invest that money, IMHO.
Breaking even in a year is insane lol let's put this into perspective. I know someone that spent 80k and they were expect their return In 7 years. You think your money back in a year is a long wait?
@@mikez650 When compared to other miners out at the time of my comment, yes, I think that was a bad ROI. Many miners had an ROI of 6 months, at most. Now, the ROI for that miner is 1,544 days.
@@benanderson5270 ROI is different for everyone depending on their rig and it's going to fluctuate from day to day. Even in stocks you can spend thousands and lose your ROI in days, so I don't get what the big deal is....

@@AxeDragon1989 Ok so I really overthought this one. I had read things about it being difficult to set up and it wasn’t, but I still put off doing it for a while. I just finished setting it up. It has made 1.89 GRN in the 20 min or so it’s been plugged in. I’m not expecting it to make more than $3-$4 a day, but if it does $10+ that would be great.

Looks pretty decent, but imo GPU rig is less risky and more profitable. Afaik these standalone miners can die whenever and they have no warranty meanwhile GPU rigs should last at least 3 years and usually only the PSU dies which is like $100-200 and everything is pretty much covered by warranty but depends if you get used ( w/ or w/o warranty or not ).
Eth 2.0 is gonna kill gpu mining profits tho. Wait until the bull market ends and then buy Goldshell KD miners.

@@rdl2k9 Except he makes, uses and sells hundreds of rigs. Teaches people how to build them and how to get set up. Educates us on new products and has honest reviews. He makes a ton more in actual mining than youtube pays him. He's been around since before the 1st bitcoin run to $20k. Never left either.

Currently in the use its capital gains meaning if your just mining you dont pay taxes on it its on the profits when you sell. There are a bunch of calculators for that online.
