Giselle is the main problem here. If you go back to this season, Giselle is the one who even started the beef.
Sometimes I wish Gizelle wasn’t even casted on the show, I used to like her, but she’s everyone’s puppet master!

If you watch the episodes prior, Giselle orchestrated Candiace's and Monique's beef because she was jealous of her. I wished that the girls can rewatch the episodes then interrogate Giselle in this manner.

With everything that other people on the cast have done for her to fight Candiace over something so childish, shows a lot. I like Monique, but with her trying to push blame on the person she CHOSE to assault was very high school. I try to make sure I use the word chose because she could’ve fought Robyn with the umbrella. She could’ve fought Ashley with the drinking and driving. She could’ve fought Gizelle for the constant shade. Robyn has shown violence tendency multiple times on this show. Putting fingers aggressively in Ashley's face, umbrella situation with Monique by going up to her face, standing and trying to charge Wendy with Charisse stopping her, etc. Gizzy would never hold her bestie accountable.

Two things are true here:
1) Gizelle and Robyn would have reacted negatively to Monique no matter what the circumstances were.
2) Monique went about this in the worst way possible and while she was clearly nervous, the "my dog ate my homework" energy holds no place after an assault.
It’s crazy that Wendy ganged up on Monique with the Gizelle and Robyn, and treated her the same way they are treating her now. I never really felt a picogram of sympathy for Wendy because of how she painted Monique as an angry black woman with the rest of the ladies. Just for Wendy to look crazy the next season bc she stood up for her family against gizelle and Robyn like Monique did when they were questioning the paternity of her baby.
STFU about this ganging up bullshxt. Wendy held Monique accountable for getting violent and boasting about it, which is disgusting on Monique's end. When Wendy saw Gizelle's true colors, Wendy checked Gizelle and did it without violence, unlike Monique. Wendy was cool with everyone on season 5, cause she was new. Monique's the only 1 who acted crazy, so obviously, Wendy had her opinions about Monique's violence, like anybody would.

I can't stand how Monique avoided the fact that she was baiting Candiace all season. She started an argument at the first dinner, Candiace apologized. Started another at Ashley's apartment, Candiace walked away. Started another at the lake house, in the kitchen, Candiace apologized. Started another at the lake house, in the yard, Candiace walked away. Candiace disengaged from Monique for weeks and Monique wouldn't leave her TF alone. Monique wanted to fight Candiace since season 4 and held onto those feelings into season 5 and was trying to egg Candiace on to argue back with her to give Monique the space to attack her without looking like a bully. Plus, she befriended Ashley on season 4 and Gizelle on season 5 to ice out and gang up on Candiace, which fell apart when Gizelle turned on Monique after the fight, which was expected, to be honest. Monique legit played herself, thinking she actually was friends with Gizelle, and Robyn, too. Also, y'all need to watch the whole barn scene. Monique had her hand in Candiace's face first, then Candiace did it back and Monique got mad, which is hypocritical. When Candiace was twirling and mocking Monique, Monique was stretching her hand over, in Candiace's face, telling her to "keep going, keep going".

I’ll say this; adults (especially 25+) making excuses for physically harming anyone over petty words is nasty, and narcissistic work. It’s funny how a lot of the same WOMEN in the comments going up for Monique’s actions, and explanation are some of the same women who have experienced, or actively speak out against abuse, and narcissistic partners in romantic relationships, however will go up to see physical abuse, and narcissism at play in work settings, and friendships. There is NEVER an excuse to get physical unless it’s in the name of self defense. Especially as an adult with a family, and shit to lose.

At the end of the day they fight with words. Monique could have fought Robyn, Ashley and Gizelle. They have had way more damaging problems and the smallest of all of them get assaulted. Karen stated facts “it’s not one time I would put my hands on them.” They have attacked Monique for a while and and she have attacked them but no hands was thrown or blackouts. I like Monique but she was 100% wrong and it’s no defending her with this group of ladies. I really hate she left the show; in this situation though she was completely wrong.

Monique went after Candace because she knew if she had hit Giselle she would have been in jail. She argued with Robin didn't hit her. Monique was wrong a grown woman with kids fighting. Monique was fighting not Giselle Giselle started the beef but she went after Candace.
