This is one of the most helpful videos on networking I've ever watched. Initiating a conversation with a stranger is always the hardest. I've been at parties and get-togethers where I didn't know anyone and walked around like a zombie for half an hour before someone felt sorry for me and invited me over. It's not shyness, it's severe introversion.

Try meetup . Com. That's what I use, there's a bunch in bath and Bristol in case you can't find any in Swansea/Cardiff
