I couldn't find the tank because I kept going to the airplane on the map. The airplane with the airplane missions. So make sure you are actually at the Sandy Shores Hangar. Then go to the airplane and switch vehicle.
Sorry man, i buied a tank as Trevor and when i did checked if it was at the Sandy Shores Hangar i did the options to change vehicles (I have the Jet that dosent have missiles too) but i didnt find it, i have to search for the parking lots around the strip club or else or my Hangar is bugged as fuck? P.S. i checked after the confirm email arrived
For me, it wasn't at all. I just needed to go to the best hill, shoot the tank and make it go to me. At the first one, the (NPC-controlled!) tank kept going into the barriers. I fixed it by going to the second hill, to the right of #1. Shot the tank, waited until it got to my place (but not to get me Wasted), stole it, escaped 2 stars (not 4), went to Trevor's hangar and saved the tank. It's now a vehicle that I can use in Director Mode.
the tanks are so fun cuz its so easy to escape the cops with it xD

No, I shot a tank with a sniper at the military base for it to come to me, and stole it. I escaped 2 stars instead of the usual 4 stars.
