I made this recipe with my dad and it turned out very well!! Instead of salmon, we used sole. We used almonds, walnuts, and cashews for the nuts. Instead of kale, we had steamed broccoli and rice. It was quite delicious! Thank you very much, Honeysuckle!! ♡

I just made this! COMPLETE HIT! That sauce tasted so freaking good after it caramelized onto the spiced walnut mixture that it inspired me to create a tasty snack based on that and I wanted to share with you! Keep the walnuts whole in the nut crust part of the recipe then spread them out on a baking sheet and baste with the maple glaze. Then cook that for the same amount of time. Basically exactly what you did in the video except skip the salmon, keep the walnuts/pecans whole, and put the sauce on top of the nut mixture. I could eat that all day long! It's a flavor combo I've never experienced before and I LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing!!!
This post is over 3 years old but I just found it and made this today. I always made the Asian grilled salmon but now cannot have that sodium. I made it exactly as stated except left out ALL the salt and used ground djon mustard along with dried parsley, because that is what I had on hand. Baked at 400 in my convection oven for 12 minutes (thick pieces). Had sweet potatoes and fresh steamed broccoli with it and it was delish! This is a recipe I will use at least once a month now!

I tried this recipe last night! Nut crusted salmon sounded like such a creative idea so I wanted to give it a try. Because I didn’t want to take from the salmon I had it with plain white rice with roasted broccoli. Overall, it was really easy to make, but for me, if you’re someone who enjoys tasting the salmon then I would probably stray from this recipe. There were so many elements going on that I found it to be too overwhelming. It was actually difficult to finish eating my filet lol. Maybe my palette isn’t gourmet enough or something, but I prob wouldn’t make this again. But if you’re into sweet, paprika-y salmon then this is the dish for you.
